100% that was the game. You cannot give up a shorthand go ahead goal in the playoffs. It’s a miracle we tied it and gave ourselves a chance but that just can’t happen.

I think back to that five minute major in OT in Vegas and how casual they were with it. This team needs to cram their arrogance and just go win.

The one positive I have is that the much vaunted Florida forecheck was non existent in ot.

Hopefully they're running out of gas. For the love of God someone has to crash and hurt bobrovsky hard in game 3.

Our PP flat out must be better. That PP when we gave up the shorty really pissed me off. It was a prime example of Florida wanting it more tonight or at least at that point in the game.

Yep. In hockey invariably the team that gets the shorty seems to want it more. Even moreso Panthers were killing so many penalties to that point. They were on the pk lots and so for them to get that was so huge for them. Its stupid to allow it. Oilers overconfidence and dicking around at the line. They did the same thing against DAllas but that club couldn't punish.

Throwing Savoie in against one of the top 2 teams in the league after a month or better of no game action is asking a lot of the player. Had he gotten into a game or 2 earlier in the playoffs it might be more of a viable option right now.

Playing a kid that Florida has little tape on would be an element of surprise. He brings speed, shot and hands in tight. Kind of what Yamo did when he went on the heater.

Mistakes are going to occur, fatigue is going to occur. Bobo bailed out his team around a dozen times tonight with at least 10 fantastic stops.

I see comments like this and wonder if we even deserve players like Booch. "what have you done for me lately" in a game the guy was aces in.

he had a G and 2A in just the first period and was disappointed he didn't notch another goal. This is how much he cares, this is how much he matters.

I’ve done nothing but praise him in my other posts, unfortunately it was an ill timed pinch, blame it on fatigue if you will, but the Oilers were in a better spot as a team and I’d have like to see him be more cautious at that stage and then regroup.

I think the team was much fresher

Was never going to be easy. Nothing worth having ever is. Was always going to be a f***ing war. Clean the shit up that you can fix and bury some chances. Was never going to be a sweep (I always vote Oilers in 4 in the polls because it's just what I do). Knobber will make adjustments. Team will be better. This shit is going 6 or 7 which means the Oil will drop a game here and there.

This team is still a wagon. They WILL find a way. Already way ahead of last year's series. This team will get it done. And it will be f***ing hard. And it will be f***ing worth it. Anything worth having is.

It hit the stantchen and bounced right to Florida player. Marchand was flying the zone and Leon did everything right.

Can’t even blame skinner it was a very lucky swipe through his legs. Regroup and come out on Monday continuing to play the same game as games 1/2.

This series is as even as any I have ever seen.

End of the day both these games could have been a coin flip and that’s likely how the series plays out

Sorry to lay into you there. I do get frustrated when the third best player on this club and third most integral becomes such a focus of dissent. not you I guess, just that he gets it here so often.

The difference between logical posters and Bouchard-hating Skinner fanatics is that while we're willing to admit when Skinner plays well, we will also call him out on a rough performance or bad goal allowed. These people can't even accept Stu letting in a bad goal and have to pin everything on Bouchard. Skinner struggles to stop breakaways. This is a fact. Not every breakaway is an auto-goal, as Bob clearly demonstrated tonight. Stu made some good saves, but Bobrovsky made more saves and better saves. Florida made a plethora of mistakes and we had great chances, but they had a better goalie tonight.

Marchand barely took a shot and it trickled by Stu. That's not on anybody but the goalie. Sorry.

When you find yourself on the same side as BumbleTheBrain, it's time to re-evaluate your take.

They don’t really have it past the 2nd. Maybe they sat back, but that is tough to maintain late into games. But I agree, they didn’t have that style in OT.
