He has had a very tough season both offensively and defensively.Nuge brings nothing. He needs to be off the first unit and off the top six. I would move him if there were any takers

I dunno, the Sharks scored like four times on that one five minute power play. Keep making excuses for their pansy ass play. Do we need to break out the bus stop meme? They literally just watched a really scary hit on their friend and were probably worrying about them. That can have a hard effect on people. Or are hockey players robots?
The PP has nothing to do with goaltending…You’re right, they were excellent on that power play.
Can Skinner every bail any of his teammates out? Ever?
The stats track those. Do you watch any other teams? All teams give up grade As …every periodIf we’re so elite on chance suppression why are the vast majority of goals against coming on wide open looks.
They are only “freebie” goals because skinner is in net.I didn’t say he was great, I’m saying they gave up freebie goals that AHL teams wouldn’t give up. They played a pitiful game until they were losing.
In regular season these are prevalent. The Oilers are giving up less wide open looks than any team I see. Count the time the Oilers generated a shot to the slot. So many. Leafs were hardly even touching puck in Oilers zone for first two periods and some of that was a 5 on 3. Our defending was fine. Leafs gave up way more.If we’re so elite on chance suppression why are the vast majority of goals against coming on wide open looks.
The fact that you can pretty much remember every wide open look the Oilers give up is all the proof you need because it ends up in the net.If we’re so elite on chance suppression why are the vast majority of goals against coming on wide open looks.
Sure and even great defensive effort and the puck goes in the net. It happens.Because no teams are perfect?
You do realize we get wide open looks nightly too right? Even against elite defensive teams right. Sometimes they go in, sometimes Nuge whiffs, sometimes the goalie saves it.
Seems here, it ALWAYS goes in against us. What does that tell you?
They did. In the playoffs. There was also a huge scrum, and a pretty decent break from the injury and the start of the powerplay.I dunno, the Sharks scored like four times on that one five minute power play. Keep making excuses for their pansy ass play. Do we need to break out the bus stop meme?
You’re right, it doesn’t. They could’ve tried to avenge Nurse. Instead they just went for cardio. The PP has nothing to do with goaltending…
Tell that to the skinner poster collectors.Once again all you have to do is the "swap goalies" test in each game... and the Oilers come out with the easy win more often than not.
All teams make screw ups defensively but Oilers seem to ALWAYS pay the price every single time for theirs.
I think they only got two shots, is that true? If so brutal. That pp in the first was the killer. You have to get at least one there. Then Bouchard with back to back disaster shifts to give them our lead. Just an awful display of game management. It’s actually crazy how bad they’ve been managing the puck late in periods. You guys just went to the finals. Wtf happened?
It was still a cheap shot. There was no response of any kind. They did. In the playoffs. There was also a huge scrum, and a pretty decent break from the injury and the start of the powerplay.
Entirely different situations.
Until we passed it to them in the slot then gave up a break away next shift. That’s just disastrous game management. Skinner has to make more saves but you can’t play that way and expect to win consistently. I agree. That was also BS. I believe I said that at the time. We still got bottom of the league goaltending as well. You’re right, it doesn’t. They could’ve tried to avenge Nurse. Instead they just went for cardio.
Yeah, lets add a top 4 D, and then proceed to trade a top pairing D.We need to find a top 4 RHD ASAP and then see if we can afford to trade away Bouchard at deadline
Go back and see how much room Marner had a and how off balance Skinner was.First off...hopefully Nurse is okay. Very dirty hit by Reeves...suspension is in order here.
Secondly...Bouchard was completely at fault on the 2nd goal. Just an absolutely brutal play.
Then on the 3rd Leafs goal his lazy c'est la vie skating to get back on defence was brutal to watch.
Such a shame because the team was playing such a solid 3rd periord and then Bouchard happened.
Then in O/T Marner has a perfect shot off the post to win it.
Of all goals on Skinner MAYBE the 2nd goal was stoppable...maybe.
Still Bouchard just cant be that stupid with the puck.
On to Montreal.
