Once again we’ll see if this group and coaching staff can handle adversity, make some adjustments and get their game back. Cause this isn’t the first time we’ve looked soft when our favorite way to play wasn’t working.

Bill Zito wasn’t going to change up the core group and get some leadership in there.
You don’t have any perspective because you think all these things are normal. They’re not. Other teams don’t deal with this much shit.
Most other good teams would’ve broken a long time ago and not even made a Finals.
This org is the bizarre dichotomy of the 2 best players in a sport married to bottom 5 management decisions.
The highs are highs and the lows are this.

Don't think Kane is ever going to be "Kane" again. He's missed too much time.
Brown,Kapanen,JSkinner,Klingberg and Arvidsson add nothing. RNH,McDavid, Hyman,Bouchard and SSkinner are having off years.Who knows what E Kane will bring. Making a move at deadline will cost picks and prospects(we have very few) so I feel it would be futile. Trade Bouchard and make moves from UFAs available in offseason. This team won’t take us back to the final

I feel like the problems have been here all year. They have just started to snowball the last 10 games or so.
- Goaltending been awful all year
- PP hasn’t looked like the historic PP all year
- PK has been pretty bad all year. Was decent for a stretch in the middle I guess
- Lines have been a mess all year
- No production outside of Draisaitl and McDavid all year. Knoblauch hasn’t shown any ability to get the forwards going
- McDavid has looked like a shadow of himself all year
- Team has lacked energy all year
- Have been poor against good teams all year (some of this is goaltending)
- Bouchards brain been in a coma all year
Only real difference is the defense has fallen apart recently

yeah he did, but he also didn’t have to work around a star like McDavid as captain who liked the core he had just fine.

Nurse is fine, but he's nowhere near 9.25 fine.
He built a cup winning team from a franchise that had basically been wandering in the desert for their entire existence.
.850 after allowing 3 goals. Stat padded his way up to .889. Be nice if he could be a reason for a win.
Bottom 6 is just so slow. Having Kap on a line with a 35yr and 40yr old is a bad idea. Bring Noah Philp back up.

Then answer the question, show me a top level team that can work with back up goaltending and is year after year never has a let down and has even won a Cup in those conditions.
You can’t because that team doesn’t exist.
