I’ve been prepared for this since February 4th when Keating went on PHNX and said he was confounded by the inaction on the part of the Coyotes. Then seeing their digital spend be absolutely paltry. Getting crushed in ad-spend. They got wildly outspent by a bunch of bush league nobodies. Dawn Penich Thacker was purchased by the No campaign for $32k. The Coyotes never had a coherent and concise message. They expected WAAAAY too much out of voters in terms of critical thinking and self-service. Branding and messaging was convoluted, complex, and crowded with way too much copy and way too many numbers. They used extremely business oriented verbiage and branding. They shot way, way, way above the heads of the voters. I saw it coming a mile away. Never had hope after February 4th.
