Makar will always have injuries like that where he tweaks something because of his skating style, but you can’t tell him to not skate like that because that’s what makes him great. It is what it is

I'm truly sorry

What the f*** Bednar, we're really falling for that fkn mirage of a game he played against Winnipeg?

I seriously need a trash can to kick.
Let's be honest, Annunen hasn't been good enough to win the net over either. Kähkönen needs another shot though.

Annunen is still our best option. We've only lost 1 game he's started. Even when he's not playing great, he still keeps it close enough to win games.

I mean... It was arguably the best game any of our goalies have played this year.

Nobody has earned the starters role. It's absolutely the right choice to reward the guy who was supposed to be the starter, with another game after putting in a legit starter level performance.

I think he got lucky and the team played well defensively.

He still looked like he was playing hot potato with the puck in the middle of an NHL game.

I don’t mind Georgiev getting another start after a good game he played vs the Jets. He has shown he can turn the switch and play better like he did in the playoffs vs the Jets after the 1st game. What’s the worst that can happen? He sucks again, we allow 7 goals and lose. No big deal

Eventually the hole will be too deep, and no amount of lotion will save them.

I don't disagree. But he hasn't been good enough solidify himself as the starter, and Georgiev just had a great game. So it's not that outrageous to give him another start.

That's what happens whith these washouts. They have a good game here or there and keep the illusion of still being good. But the writing is on the wall. George is cooked and will only keep hurting this team. He needs to be packaged out ASAP.

That’s true, but I still get the idea of going with Georgiev again after he played a really good game. This might be a turn around for him and he starts playing better, or he stinks again and we lose one more game. Actually I think Avs will continue having trouble beating good teams no matter who’s in net because we still have too many key guys out. We haven’t beaten a good team so far this year. All the games we have won have been against bad teams

The bar for really good is a little too low IMO.

That's not going to happen, so you might as well stop dreaming about it. We are not spending our limited resources in making that contract go away, especially with no replacement on sight.
