Obviously its a small sample size and it will probably regress a little bit... But it really does go to show that the defense wasn't the problem, it was purely dogshit goaltending.
Now, that's not to say the defense could have been better and still could be better, I think we're still prone to too many lapses in judgement, carelessness with the puck(Looking at you specifically Mack and Mikko), and these mistakes do lead to an above average number of high danger chances against.... But overall the team is still clearly good defensively and capable of playing well in their own zone.
But when you literally dont trust your goalies to make even the most routine saves, you play defense entirely different, basically afraid to even make a single mistake... which more often then not results in making more mistakes essentially.
It's very nice to see good goaltending again and see the GAA trending downward.
