Herbert is sadly one of the biggest what-ifs in the league. If he had been drafted by Miami instead of Tua, just like Flores wanted to, the guy would have been a super mega star.

Herbert's still young so he has time to win. But yeah he's definitely underrated because of who he plays for. He's superb.

I know his job isn't at risk at all at the moment, but it's of note that defensive minded head coach Todd Bowles has led the Buccaneers to:

4th most points allowed in the league
2nd most yards allowed in the league
3rd most passing yards allowed in the league
12th most rushing yards allowed in the league

7 games into the season.

Their next two games could be challenging, but then their schedule is a cake walk. They have 0 teams with a winning record at the moment in their last 8 games. Might save their season even if Evans misses extended time (in addition to Godwin being gone for the season, with all likelihood).

As for the WR market, is Theilen in Car going to move the needle for teams? We have to think of guys near the end of their deals. If Clev dealt Jeudy, that's another big deal cap to absorb for them.

Maybe Jakobi Meyers from LV but he's missed a couple of games now. If he's ready to go before the TDL, could see him move as a #2 type WR.

It was, but this is a Harbaugh offense that puts its identity into ground and pound, win the trenches football. But, AZ was able to take away the run game and force LA to throw to their depleted receiving group in a 1 possession game throughout the entire game.

I think Diontae Johnson in Carolina could likely be on the move too. $10 million cap hit, 7 of which is base salary. Assuming they work out the money with someone, he’d probably be the most appealing, realistically available WR.

If you are in need of WR, you are targeting a WR2 at least. Older Vets are more WR3/4 on a healthy squad for depth. But, if one of your top 2 WR is out for most of the 2nd half, you'd want someone higher up on the depth chart.

So, Johnson over Theilen for sure on most clubs looking for help. $7 mill base prorated is going to be $3.5 mill of cap room come the TDL.
