Are you really disagreeing when you are talking about all the ways that people felt like the teams on the Bills schedule would be better this year than they turned out to be.
San Fran has been decimated by injuries and is not the same team that made it to the Super Bowl last year.
Miami and the Jets are way worse than people expected.
That is almost 1/3 of the Bills schedule right there.

Engagement farming at it's best, IMO.
My guess is that Micah is enjoying retirement too much to sign now, especially with Damar being healthy.
Plus, Dwayne Carter likely takes the Virgil roster spot.

Hyde seems a much more humble player coach that fits what's happening currently as we attempt to acclimate milano to NFL speed before the playoffs . Ridding us of poyer and diggs allowed room for less me first guys to have a team voice Both DT SEEMED to have helped any competent adds like Hyde, now is the time to limit reps bit still push at LA then det and see if KC luck ends and keep entire group up to speed and make statements to NFL as a whole. All 53 and PS say , F **K you NFL come here .

I have to say, the team this year really feels like what McDermott envisioned for this group. Strong run first approach, physical on both sides of the ball, and an organized, structured and clean defense. I've been critical of him but I do believe he's really making his mark and it's hard to deny that he seems to consistently find the right roles for guys and develop them into useful players regardless of experience level. Just hope his decision making in those crunch time playoff moments can improve.

He's playing well. I'm still in favor of drafting the future LT high and having him apprentice at LG, them flip-flop with Dawkins. I think Dawkins could extend his career at LG. The Bills blocking scheme asks the guards to anchor so the tackles and center can pull.
Hyde will be an excellent coach one day.
In looking at the Rams team, they have some good slippery skill positions and can run the ball well.
They struggle staying on the field though, one of the worst 3rd down conversion teams in the league.
Their coverage overall is decent, but their tackling, especially in the secondary, isn't great. Their run defense isn't great either.
I think the book is getting out there on a few signature plays. The tunnel screen to Shakir is going to have to get disguised a bit as both SF and KC knew when it was coming.
I'd like to see some new wrinkles get introduced here and give some more film for Defenses to prepare for. More PA deep shots, especially if Coleman is back.

It's a real thing. When I interned in the Bills scouting department, I was offered to come on as a paid scout. But the hours of the paid scouts who worked in the building were 5am to 8pm, and they all lived in a small apartment. Two in bunk beds in one room, two in beds in another, and the 5th on a pull-out couch. They had pizza every night for dinner. And they rarely had a day off, working almost every weekend and some holidays.
We see the top people (head coach, GM, coordinators, etc) and think that life is grand. But there's an army of scouts and coaches behind them. The Bills had five younger scouts in their at-home scouting department in 1994-95 who did nothing but prepare the sent in reports, adjust boards, review compatibility rankings, run mock drafts, compile prospect mean-median-range stats, etc. Those guys were looking at a decade of grinding before the Bills would put them on the road as scout.
Coaching was not much different. Same type of hours and same type of grind.
Dang, I was living better than that working at PF Chang’s. If I ever saw 5am it was on the back end.

I decided to not accept the offer and went to college and played hockey. It's a tough life. Even the on-the-road scouts have it tough. Sure, they get paid to watch football games. But it's up early traveling, checking backgrounds, watching practices, etc from July to January. Then they are at the Senior Bowl, Combine, and working to prepare draft boards. And as soon as the draft is over, they are off to spring practices. They get some downtime between the spring practices and the start of summer football camps for colleges. But they have meetings in July to set the prospect lists, etc.
Lots of traveling, lots of hotels. It's a grind.

Office hours at first light to until midnight, sleeping under your desk, travel, half a summer, is not an ideal life.

The NFL has made it clear you can't target the money makers (which the QB's are). It's basically sending a message to the rest of the league not to do this. There's definitely a double standard when it comes to hits like this. If it was a RB, WR or TE I'm not sure he even gets suspended, probably just a heavy fine. Maybe there's a suspension if a $30 million WR gets taken out, but the NFL does not want players taking cheap shots at $50 million QB's.
It's beyond the fact that Lawrence is a QB - except that as a QB Lawrence has a right to slide and not get hit. Lawrence was already well into his slide when Al-Shaair not only hit him but targeted his head. I'd have suspended him for the rest of the year and make him apply for reinstatement to come back next year - with an understanding the next game ejection is an automatic suspension for the rest of that year.
