Phaneuf concedes Weise retaliation was a "bad penalty". "Can't take it. I can't take the penalty." Led to Habs fifth goal.

Outshooting the opposition 52-27 and losing 5-3 reminds me of the later stage Paul Maurice teams.

Froese probably will get another game or two in the biggs, and if they are anywhere near as bad as tonight's, his NHL ambitions are done. Grabner, PAP and Polak are also not NHLers.

You do realize the Leafs are pretty well the worst team in the league. You have to know that your Habs sink or swim almost exclusively on Price's performances.

Wrong, Habs lead the league in scoring, games against the Leafs have been our worst. Habs looked gassed tonight. Good effort by the Leafs

People only say that because Price's amazingness creates a contrast between him and the rest of the team. The Habs are now at 3.89 goals per game, 2nd best in the NHL.

if you are there by the end of the year, believe me, I will give you all the credit in the world

you don't get a cookie because you blew out Buffalo. (whose Buffalo), and the Leafs. who are the Leafs.

it's the 9th game of the season.
come back when it's game 79 and the team (not Price) has been doing this all season.

Habs had no more legs beginning the second period since was there 2nd game in two nights, Therrien knew Price was going to be solicited in this game and realized his star players (Subban. Patches) had to make the difference, which they fortunately did. The Habs will be well rested on Tuesday when they take on the Canucks for their 10th straight.....should be an interesting game. Good effort by the Leafs, that Reilly is a jewel.

It is your defensive core that blows. And I have a bridge to sell you if you think Habs will keep up with that number all season for goals for.

Your Habs have got off to a fantastic start. Price is the main reason.

Bernier has to put together a 60 minute performance. We should have won this game. It's not easy to put 3 goals past Carey Price...

4 of the 5 goals were due to bad defense with little chance for goalie, even the 1 that was savable was a 2on1 with one of best scorers in hockey shooting

Ah.

It looks as if he couldn't hit the net with a hand full coins at times, but there's probably 3 other players I'd scratch before him.

Yea, but he is younger than them. :)

I don't mind if it's used to kick Holland in the butt & increase the tempo of his game.

Froese played pretty well, especially for a 1st game.

Rielly played awesome.

Harrington, playing top 4 5x5 icetime, fit in & probably should have been awarded a 2nd assist on Rielly's goal.

Leafs were the better team tonight by quite a margin, not really shocking news. Just think that what Babcock is doing is really positive for your club. Once you guys get some talent you'll be contenders, I have no doubt.

Good game, deserved better but lost because of the talent discrepancy. This happens to rebuilding teams.

Cheers boys.

Huh?

Did you watch the game? The kid was pretty good for his first NHL game, not sure where you formed that opinion?
