“Line Party” set the tone tonight and were unreal. I love that group together at this snap shot in time. Apples and Sadie are such sound players and Rosie has been on fire. They mesh very well.

Tonight Poolman's puck handling made Jepetto look like Bobby Orr.

Roslovic got tooled on 3 star selection. His energy lifted the entire team. We were on pace to be shut out.
He's not ready to be top 4 D, not even close. It'll be good to see him in a more appropriate role. All things considered he looks good for a guy who is basically a rookie though.

Jets win, Leafs lose, Preds lose, Hurricanes win (pushing the Leafs closer to missing the playoffs). What a great night!
Leafs can't miss, the Atlantic has so many bad teams in it. Wildcard is all Metro teams with more points than Toronto with games in hand.

It's all the divisional trash keeping them afloat

Just listening to Craig Button on the Demelo trade, and he thinks he's a great fit for the Jets, and I agree. He's a good size, defensive defenseman, and is a good size. I saw him throw a couple hits on some hi-lite reels, and he looks solid and physical. Just what we need -- "big plus for the Jets."

He’s actually not that big 6’0””, maybe 200 lbs

Who do these guys think they are scoring 4 goals in two games?

Don't they know they're the third line?

Fore checking like a bunch of Wild Boys.

yeah the 28 year old rookie!

what’s hilarious is Poolman being a year or two older than Trouba who is now in what his 7 th NHL season!

Leafs are 3 points ahead of us, same games played, we are in the mix because Nsh, Mn, Chi are terrible. Yes its different, but similar.
And we are in the mix because Arizona, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and LV are all approx the same as us which leaves the Wildcard race wide open as whoever drops down in the Pacific is in the mud with the Jets and Preds for the 2 playoff spots. This is most definitely not a year to give up on the playoff dream. We end up in the #1 WC spot we are just as likely as any of the Pacific teams to find themselves in the Conference finals.

you can't play defense in the league anymore if you don't have decently quick hands. To borrow a phrase from Barry Long, I like the jam he brings, but Poolman has a tough row to hoe with those mitts.

Watching the highlights again
  1. Most of the Jets goals start in the d zone and are scored off the rush. Gratifying, personally, because dump and chase is so dull.
  2. Roslovic on the Appleton goal was nuts. Blew through the defense like KFC.
  3. Copp and Schiefele look rough on the Kings goals. I didn't catch the entire game so it might just be a poor sample.
