HUGE -is the right word --that 3rd line looks great with great chemistry. Harkins and Appleton look like they fit right in, and they played better than the 2nd line with Roslo at center, and that's why we won the game. Maurice should leave this line intact.

Well you have to say that Maurice is pushing the right buttons. That kid line has been special in its 2 games, got us on the board again. I love having a line that just skates and battles everywhere. I am pretty sure their possession metrics were high after this game.
Scwheelers has got Scheifele putting points up. Ehlers was flying as usual. I love seeing the captain going to the far post for tap ins, getting in the shooting lanes for goals. Wheeler had a strong game. Maybe he is what Scheifele needed.
I thought Connor-Copp-Laine had some genuine struggles in their own end. But Laine still gets a couple of points. That's how stars work.
Defense was pretty mediocre. Morrissey is playing better, which is good. I am sure he is looking forward to meeting his new d-partner in Ottawa. We really can't afford to have Poolman matching up against top 6 forwards down the stretch.
Kulikov-Pionk had some struggles. Kulikov lost his man twice tonight for goals. But then he was solid on the PK, guy can lose a tooth and not miss a beat. Doughty on the other hand...caps to the PK, they are starting to look good when it really matters, with more pressure.
Beaulieu-Niku were ok. Niku sure can skate, his passing is top notch, but his defending drives me crazy.
Be interested to see who draws out in Ottawa, Niku or Poolman. I'd guess Niku, but I have been wrong before.
Kings had some pretty bad breakdowns. They are going to need some time to rebuild, after Lombardi leveraged the future for some short term success.
1 pt out of a WC with some help from the Canes tonight. 4 game road trip is crucial. Need to pick up 5/6 points to keep it going.

Just got home and that one felt good. Scheifele gets his mojo back playing with his bro and Ehlers must think he is in heaven reaping the rewards playing on their wing.

LOL well he has great teeth!
Just listening to Craig Button on the Demelo trade, and he thinks he's a great fit for the Jets, and I agree. He's a good size, defensive defenseman, and is a good size. I saw him throw a couple hits on some hi-lite reels, and he looks solid and physical. Just what we need -- "big plus for the Jets."
