f*** YOU MILLER — NOT ONLY DID YOU f***ING SUCK ALL DAY YOU TOOK A STUPID MOTHERf***ING NEEDLESS PENALTY AGAINST SHITBAG FOEGELE. STUPID.

Knew right then and there this game was going in the wrong direction. Shit.

It may be time to fire Gallant. I hate to say it. But this team is not responding. They arent playing consistent hockey. They cannot play a full 60

Winless in the post Ryan Reaves (RR) era
Winless in the new Reverse Retro (RR) jerseys

It's a conspiracy I tells ya!

I f***ing loathe James Dolan with all of my heart. JD and Gorts were 1000% right when they said this team was not ready to take the next step. Instead he fires them and they’re replaced by a GM who throws cash at third stringers, who our moron coach plays over the prospects that were supposedly going to save our franchise. And now here we are staring at potential mediocrity, as far away from our goal as ever.
JD and Gorts were always in the right in that scenario. Dolan's impatience strikes again. Really if they had waited just one more year to start making real moves they would have been in great position. Instead Drury traded Buchnevich for a bag of beans, and then signed Goodrow to a ridiculously stupid contract. From there it was all downhill.

Imagine being the franchise that trades for a horrible NHL player, pays said player $8,000,000 a year for a total of 56 million f***ing dollars, gives him a NMC, and then names him captain.

All because his girlfriend wanted to be a doctor in New York City.

Ok.

That's it.

Anyone making excuses for Gallant from this point out should be auto-banned.

IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO GO. It was time for him to go in October. But I'm sure he'll have a big smile on his face in the post-game presser, like always.

Pick up the phone. Call Gary. Tell him Joel is needed.

It wasn't time for him to go in October. That's silly. We're coming off the ECF. You don't fire a coach after that.

But now it's time. He needs to go. f*** him and f*** this coaching staff and f*** Drury.

The leaders on this team should be ashamed of themselves. Pathetic effort but they will all say the same BS in the post game. Get rid of these bums.

If you look at THIS game, you see the Oilers coasting in the first, then turning it on strong in the 2nd before the two goal flurry at the end. Then EDM controlled the 3rd fully. The Oilers have better players, they were just sleeping for a bit.

I can say the same for almost every other team though: they have better players. Rangers do not have better players than other teams, we THINK they should be better because we are fans and are biased, but like, they aren't actually very good. Fox sure, but everyone else? I mean, you wouldn't trade our roster straight up for over 50% of the league's roster? Which roster you turning down? Maybe Chicago and Columbus, Sharks, their future looks sketchy.

Last year was LOW ENTROPY, we shouldn't have made the ECF (maybe not even the playoffs). This year, we are getting punished for that and the universe is moving towards the average.

I can see why Gallant has a short shelf life.

The team desperately needs a shakeup.
Having 3 different coaches with a lot of the same roster won’t change anything. Maybe getting some better leaders will help this group. Another coach would have the same result with this group. Time to make a hockey trade

Mika about to cry again in the postgame. Great leadership 🤮

What do you do when you are surrounded by lunatics and are petrified? Asking for a friend.

Yeah I don't like making hasty moves, but the team does not look like they're ready to turn any corners and they need a shake up.

IDK who the other head coaching candidates would be, and I do like Turk, but if he needs to take the fall then so be it.
Unfortunately, the players who need to be or should be traded have NMCs. Our "core" players are doing little to nothing. Even with the extra skater after pulling Shesty, Panny is along the boards surrounded by 3 Oilers and he's still trying that cross-ice pass to Zibby on the other side of the ice!!!!!! WTF is up with that?

As someone commented in the GDT, how bad is it when your bottom lines are your best?

Teams in the NHL rise and fall based on how their top players perform. Simple as that.

Our top players have looked like pure garbage 5v5 for the whole seson. They have won us games and got points for themselves through PP. 5v5, the lack of such, falls on the lap of the coach.

The issue is no depth. None.

Hajek- Joke
Blais- Joke
Halak- Joke
Carpenter- Joke
Vesey- Joke

You can’t have these guys anywhere near NHL minutes. They destroy teams

Laf- Playing like a joke
Kappo- Playing like a joke

Breadman- not on his game
Mica- underperforming
Kreider- underperforming
Trouba- playing like a joke
Miller- underperforming
Goodrow- Underperforning

Trouchek- playing about as expected.

Fox- Excelling
Lindgren- Fantastic

Igor- solid

When the roster looks like this you get a team that’s like this on the ice.

The fourth line is okay. They hit and they score sometimes. We've had better teams with worse fourth lines than that. Carpenter in particular I think gets shit for a bad game or two in the preseason when he's basically the same thing as Kevin Rooney. And as much as no one should want to see Vesey and Goodrow in huge roles, coming on as extra attackers or in f***ing overtime whenever that was, they have been okay. There have been games, not today but a few, where sixth contract Harvard Jimmy is the only one who's moving out there. I don't think it's problems that come down to the roster construction on the bottom end.
