Yeah I don't like making hasty moves, but the team does not look like they're ready to turn any corners and they need a shake up.

IDK who the other head coaching candidates would be, and I do like Turk, but if he needs to take the fall then so be it.

Turk is trash.

He lets them play pond hockey on offense. Has no defensive structure. Its a go where you think you should be. Nobody knows where they are going on defense which causes confusion and defensive lapses. I have no idea what the assistant coaches do either. The lineups change for 2 periods and as soon as their is some adversity, gallant goes back to his old ways. He wore out his welcome every place he went and this is why.

Time to bring in someone else who can impliment systems

When a coach loses the room it doesn't matter if you're Scotty Bowman. You're done. This core chasing away two coaches in two years is alarming. Starts to make me think it's not the coach or the message that's the problem.

No matter who the coach is won’t matter. It’s the too many finesse soft personalities here and are happy with mediocrity. They have no one with a go get it mentality. Most of this roster is similar to Quinn’s team.

I am one of the more positive posters on here but when I see them lose games like this one and also lose games to Columbus, Anaheim, and San Jose there is something wrong here. I honestly think a coaching change needs to happen. This is inexcusable.

It's a country club atmosphere because they get treaded like it's a 5-star resort.
Then a soft players coach.
Weak/soft/giggly practices.
Softer players and no true leader

It's a loaded combination. A perfect storm

Exactly... Firing the coach will have a small impact for about 2 weeks. The bigger problem is an organizational one that's deep rooted.

Giving up 3 goals, losing your top pair dman, and not calling a TO in the 3rd period is really the personification of poor coaching. Would it of changed the outcome? Maybe, maybe not, but it is literally the most obvious thing to do that's in your direct power as a coach to give your team the best chance to AT LEAST get a loser point.

This team needs a shakeup trade. But as discussed in the GDT, who goes? Kreider, Zib, Panarin, and Trouba all have NMC's.

Draft your new core this summer with three 1st rounders who's ELC's will be up when the current core's contracts are up. Keep the two 1st's and get another for Lafreniere. What a stupid, selfish play that led to the game winner for Edmonton. This should be the last game he plays as a Ranger.

Ask for the teams they would waive for.

Instead he fires them and they’re replaced by a GM who throws cash at third stringers, who our moron coach plays over the prospects that were supposedly going to save our franchise. And now here we are staring at potential mediocrity, as far away from our goal as ever.

JD and Gorts have their fingers all over this when you consider some of the moves, drafts, they had. I mean why even bring that mess up considering how things have played out. Not holding Drurys water, just that he hasn’t had enough time to f*** things up.

the only hope is a disciplinarian/Torts type might work for 2-3 years.

Get the most out of the team and change once again once the disciplinarians schtick runs thin. Maybe a guy like Trotz who will at least implement structure?

I'm not seeing "the vets are in a country club." The vets are responsible for all of our wins.

The problem continues to be that we haven't developed any depth with our supposed "rebuild."

This game was just a stinker and like I said, we never should have been up 3-0, so I'm willing to just chalk it up to "sometimes you suck."

That being said, the above is the larger pattern I'm seeing.

They were fine 1st and 2nd periods. Had the edge in play in both. The 3rd was the worst period they've played all season.
