Went to the actual store today to thank them for such wonderful food. They gave me stickers....I love stickers. Another piece of carrot cake was purchased. Now trying to decide what to take home. Finished off yesterday's leftovers....just as delicious.this is the storefront...too cute!!
My police officer friend tells me that NUMEROUS people have called 911 to ask for glasses to watch the eclipse.
And we (my friend and I) live in a state that likes to think of itself as the smartest and best educated in the entire country.

I've never seen a proper solar eclipse. I vaguely recall a partial one when I was a kid but it was so minor that it was barely noticable or observable. They never seem to happen in my part of the world.
Enjoy it, lucky folks! Strikes me as something that would be really interesting.
My Dad in 1963. I think he was in Maine (we kids were not with him). He made us hand held eclipse watchers out of many layers of dark film.
If anyone in the Boston area is looking for movers to help them pack up a Pod or UHaul, Bell Air Movers out of Roslindale are incredible. Nothing in my POD moved on the trip west. Simply incredible.

We ended up walking the trail because it is so beautiful today - our first day and we were greeted by a mink! It had just been fishing but hid once it saw us, I was lucky to catch a pic.
My Dad set up his camera and took time release photos of the eclipse (he had a darkroom in out basement at home).

It's like Connor McDavid with a bunch of OHL players. I watched like four minutes earlier and the rest of her team is so dependent on her it's hilarious, there was a play where another girl got an open look just inside the free throw line and instead of shooting, she turned around and passed to a covered Clark, who had to put up a contested three.
That's a fair analogy. South Carolina has defended her really tough and she's had to work her ass off for open looks, but yeah, Iowa is probably not even a tournament team without Caitlin Clark. Kinda like that Indiana St. team back in 1979.
South Carolina is just dominating the paint.

The living room furniture set purchase is complete. Which is great, because sitting on every sofa south of Boston wore me out. Up and down. Up and down. Up and down. It killed me.
Not sure if we got hosed or not, but I was happy with the price, and pleased with the process. A little back and forth on a couple things but I felt like the deal was pretty good.
Ended up with a sofa, love seat, and recliner from Raymour n Flanigan. Everything is a power recline and head rest, so now I gotta go find batteries to avoid cords all over my house.
Very pleased it's over. I'd actually rather negotiate a car than hunt for furniture again

Boy, this has been a Monday. I just want to go back home and crawl in bed.
Seems like not much happened. It got a little less light but ...I guess I am not in the right part of NH.
Outside in lovely Lansing Michigan all ready for the to eclipse.... perfect weather!!
