Vegas controls play a lot but they lack elite talent up front. We saw it last year in the series with Vancouver and Dallas.

Wasn't a trip could be a hook.

Gotta call that hooking in my opinion.

Seems like the Wild are taking a lot of pucks off ankles.

Vegas dominating so far but lack of finish is what killed them last season and might doom them again this one
It's not so much the lack of finish as it is this is the Wild team to a T. They are all defense and goaltending when the effort level is ramped up by the opposition. They are tough to score on, although they won't have the puck much.

Yeah I was gonna say. Lack of finish can be a problem for us in the playoffs but it's more a problem Vegas has with suffocating prevent defenses. A lot of our shots this period came from distance without much of a screen.

The book on Vegas' offense is collapse the middle of the offensive zone with four guys, one guy presses the puck carrier and Vegas gets forced to take most of their shots from the perimeter or they try to force passes through traffic that often get blocked. Vancouver and Dallas understood this and so does Minny.
