this Oilers Team wont win the Cup. Period.

Why?
Look at Tampa‘s and the Avs’ Last 3 Cup wins.

Both could Score easliy 4-5 goals a Game, but they didnt need to!

Avs had 2 SO against Oilers and Tampa in their Game 2. and their goalies were solid at best all playoffs.

Oilers have no Makar or Hedman. They are paying nurse like them, but Yeah other story.

Ekholm is a Good #2/3 d-man, not more not less.
Win the cup? They won’t ever get close to it with their lousy goaltending and weak D.

Skinner a mighty .848 SV% today. "But why are you so hard on Stu? What has he done to you?".

The guy's a bum and giving him starts is a fireable offence. He doesn't have what it takes in the playoffs. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is lunacy.

No the bad take. You described Vegas' biggest ways flaw. They didn't do it as much tonight but they absolutely have an issue with turtling in leads.
Not talking about turtling with leads. The ability to actually have sustained pressure.
A deeper forward core. LA played afraid. Sometimes the best defense is a good offense. LA needed more of that. Teams always have to be aware of the Oilers big two. Doesn’t mean you need to 1-3-1 them and hope for a mistake.

If you watched the games throughout the season, you’d know that he earned it.

Disgusting behavior from one of the most unlikable teams in the league.
It's nothing new. That's why there's the generic "upper body injury" or "lower body injury" descriptors...as I just heard said in the video as I typed it lol

Unfortunately every team would do the same thing.

Vegas would be doing the same if McDavid had a nagging injury.

Also, while I realize that the cap circumvention isn't strictly illegal, Stone's salary shouldn't be on the ice anyways. If Stone is knocked out then Vegas is on even footing with every other team.

I'll repeat what I said earlier: There's no such thing as earned in the playoffs. The season is on the line and instead of winning you want to give consolation starts as a reward for some regular season nonsense? Who knows what's wrong with him now? Maybe he's injured or maybe he's just shook or his pet died or girlfriend is cheating, but whatever it is he doesn't belong on the ice.

Some key highlights from this game:

Refs bias towards Oilers

Stone getting cross checked mercilessly even after dead plays

Oilers entire team trying to copy McDavid and go through the whole team which was a failure by McD on his numerous attempts

The great stick plays and checks by Vegas messing up the Oilers plays

Vegas answering the Oilers after every goal while they were still celebrating in their minds

Vegas outplayed the Oilers at 5 on 5 today. The only reason it was as close as it ended up being was because of Draisaitl and Stu.

And besides, if starting Stu is a fireable offence, someone starting Campbell - after 1 start in the playoffs for 2 periods - should be shot to the moon.

Okay, I’ll let the Oilers higher ups know that Daishi from HFBoards says yank him for Jack “The steady and not at all prone to implosions” Campbell.

Vegas blueline is as good as any other team minus Colorado. Big, tough, mobile, physical. Even White cloud and Hague on the bottom pair is rock solid. Sure a helluva lot better than Koolak and Deslaurous.

I hope Woodcroft keeps Delaruous in the lineup so Vegas can keep exposing him.

Aiding Hill better start game 2. Can't be running with a career backup in the 2nd round.
As a VGK fan, I wouldnt describe Whitey and Hague as "rock solid." The next board battle Hague wins will be his first, though i have seen him ice the puck less often and get lost around the net less often.

A lot of teams changed goalies in the first round and it worked. Skinner is far from even an average NHL goalie and a light year from being a star. Stats and advanced stats wise he's been the worst goalie in the playoffs. What makes you think he's earned unlimited credit, except your man crush on him?

Just keep giving him the starts I'll flame you after every debacle of a game and when the Oil are golfing because of this bum I'll be saying I told you so for the whole summer.

A bum? Again.....he's a f***ing rookie! A Calder candidate ffs. Inexperienced at this level, for sure. But hardly a bum.

Disgusting behavior from one of the most unlikable teams in the league.

Just trying to get the Knights to play by the rules. ;)

Seriously though, he is not getting what many other players get through any other game. The only reason anyone gives a shit here is because he is "hurt". If you expect the opponent to p***yfoot around him, you are watching the wrong sport.
