The demented oreo dolphins vs the jerks who make me pay an arm and a leg at the pump lol

Taking this one for what it is. Should be a fun one

Comedy club not open so you’re telling jokes in here?
I think both are solid backups but both would get lit up against top teams in a series. I mean it's no secret that Skinner struggled against top teams this season and looked really good against shit teams and I think there's a very good chance this happens in this series and could very well happen on our side as well.

As For EP I went back and watched him from October - Jan and it's obvious he's injured his skating and evasiveness look completely different but thankfully he and the whole pp will light it up we always do against you guys.

Honestly Im so sick of hearing about how people praise the oilers vs the kings yet shit on Vancouver for the Nashville series when oilers kings were equal 5on5, Skinner allowed almost as many goals in 3 games as we did in 6 games, despite the kings sucking offensively, while Nashville was not only 8th overall in GF in the reg season but we're only behind 2 teams since Feb and scored more than the oilers during that period, they also had the best pp during that stretch and we completely shut them down, all this without Demko.
Vancouver was pretty much the best defensive team in the west in round 1 and just behind Boston.
The oilers were meh in everything but special teams and as usual #97 and #29 were the reason. Kings didn't have anything close to the centre Depth and while nobody can shut him down completely, JT has been pretty good at it.

Lads, the playoffs are not the regular season thus far. It's a whole new ballgame for both teams

Yeah I don't put a ton of stock in season series results. I've seen it happen in the playoffs too many times where the playoffs were a completely different story.

One example I recall right off the top of my head is 07-08 when the Habs went 8-0-0 against the bruins in the regular season. They met in the playoffs, and the series went 7 games.

Also, If I recall correctly, a couple games against Edmonton were under the old regime, when even the Sharks were beating them. Even if I were to put alot of credence in the season series, I'd have to consider those two games as non representative of their current team.

And the Oilers have still out produced the Canucks at EV in the playoffs.

It's not a big deal. Someone incorrectly stated that the Canucks have superior EV scoring, and now opinions can be better informed.

Yeah. Oilers were 4th and Canucks were 5th in ES.
Yes. Thank you for the support.

McDavid the last 3 years has dominated the JT Miller line in terms of chances and shots.

I dont think hes limited much.

Yes. Thank you for the support.
They also probably think Nashville blocked more shots than the Oilers.

So now regular season matters?

4-0 baby, or does it only matter if it fits certain narratives?
This is the sentence that they were responding to:

Kings didn't have anything close to the centre Depth and while nobody can shut him down completely, JT has been pretty good at it.

Referring to the regular season is the only possible way to respond to that comment because McDavid and Miller have never faced each other in the playoffs.

You're trying too hard.

3 of the regular season meetings were in the first few weeks of the season when the Oilers were a tire fire, with an injured Ekholm and McDavid. They've played 1 game post-Oilers coaching change and McDavid was in the press box for that one.

That’s a whole lot of excuses when you could have just said the Canucks swept the series. Canucks had injuries too but that’s hockey. And as for the Oilers being a tire fire a lot of the credit goes to the Canucks.
