Edmonton as no D or goaltending have only gone to the 3rd round once with this core

Canucks also have better players(Hughes, Miller, Brock, Pete) Oilers just have McDavid and Draisatl

Assuming the Canucks want to win, they should place Zadorov on the first power play unit because he will shoot the puck and create rebounds.

If they don't care about winning they should keep doing the same thing; expecting a different outcome.

Disgraceful disobedience. There was to be "no thinking" of any kind and absolutely no contextualizing. We must worship everything and all about the winner and throw out and dismiss every component of the loser.

Losing would hurt like hell but the Canucks course of action this offseason changes little no matter the outcome of game 7.

The Oilers lose and we don't know what will be different. Holland likely gone but heads are rolling and the potential that Draisaitl doesn't re-sign if the Oilers lose goes up exponentially.

The players on the ice don't think this way and both teams have an enormous burden of pressure but from a fan standpoint there is way more pressure on Oiler fans to win this game. That's where cup or bust vs house money comes from. If you can't wrap your head around this idea I question your critical thinking skills. Teams are in very different places. Can't wait.

Have to disagree. I think when you see teams get close one year, then win it the next, it's because they've gained valuable experience concerning playoff hockey. It's a different animal. Most invaluable thing in life is experience.

Series is showing that the Canucks have more things to worry about than they thought this season, imo (outside of goal). Not all sunshine and rainbows for them either way, house money or not.

Don't really understand this argument at all. Canucks best forward is 31 and aging. Boeser is a UFA in 1 year and is going to get a massive raise. 4 of their bottom 6 forwards are UFAs coming, many of which are coming off career years. 4 of their starting D are RFA or UFA and many in line for a massive raise. They're up against the cap with this roster despite most of these players on cheap deals. The caps going up but in 2025-26 and 26-27 the OEL buyout cap penalty jumps almost 3 mil to just under 5 mil.

People are kidding themselves if they think this Van team isn't also at a weird cross roads where they're about to be decimated on the depth side, and their stars outside of the aging Miller have barely shown up in the playoffs. This isn't some young team with locked in steal contracts who is just going to get better each year. They have a couple good prospects which might help but thats about their only hope of sustaining any of this depth in their lineup.
