Disappointing! The better team sadly won. Gotta be good to be lucky or so they say. That Pacioretty goal was the lucky nail in the coffin (especially after we had a couple prime chances to score and a quick turnover down the ice... bam)!

But I agree that it’s time to try OJ and macewen. Out with fantenberg and Sutter. Both have been bad majority of series.

Man I actually remember watching this episode live. Back when Amazing Race was interesting.

Series likely won't go past five games now.

A classic example of the Canucks lack of depth catching up with them on a back to back. Green has to overplay his top-six while Vegas just rolls four lines and had complete confidence to use their backup goalie.

Canucks third and fourth lines were just buried in tonight's game. It's hard to believe that the Canucks have almost $20 million under the salary cap tied up in completely useless third and fourth line players...and the most expensive guy Eriksson, can't even get out of the pressbox.

But it's been the Canucks Achilles heel all season long, so didn't figure to change that much in the playoffs.

Would love to have a 3rd period do over, but Vegas has the killer instinct, don't they? We had our chances, but they have the depth and speed at all positions.

I'm still proud of our guys to get this far against St. Louis and Vegas. Much better game from Hughes and Boeser. Petey is a treasure.

Dats gonna be dat.

Bottom 6 needs to be near totally rebuilt.

Shame on Virtanen and Gaudette but ... yikes.... not NHL caliber.

Bad coach call on bringing Myers in for this one...

Sutter is some kind of brutal.

That's all i got.

Yup. The offseason needs to be focused on the bottom 6. Massive offseason really - signing Toffoli, Tanev and Markstrom to reasonable term deals, possibly signing Petterson and Hughes to franchise changing deals but if we want to improve and re-sign the 3 ufa’s that bottom six needs to be completely re-worked.

This feels a lot like when the '07 team - which was led by the Sedins, Luongo, and Jeff Cowan, and not a ton else - got an emotional win over Dallas in the first round, and ran into the eventual Cup Champs in Anaheim in the second round. The Ducks were an absolute buzz-saw in that series, and I think it taught a lot of the core players from that group (Twins, Kesler, Burrows, Lu, Bieksa) what you needed to do and be in the playoffs to win.

Pettersson certainly brought it in this game. His will to win is something to see, and is what makes him such a special player. When the Canucks were trying to generate chances, he flew with the puck to gain the zone - but no one was with him.

I wasn’t expecting Petterson to be this good in playoffs! He’s been a great surprise with how he steps up for the playoffs, we’re lucky to have him and Horvat.

Tuch is a problem and he’s honestly just Virtanen 2.0. Vegas’ system utilized him perfectly. Sucks to see.
No he isn't. Tuch was well on his way to breaking out last year, but got bumped down to the 3rd line after Stone arrived. Tuch also had a ton of injuries this season and was in and out of the lineup constantly.

Tuch is better than Virtanen. Full stop. Stop f***ing making excuses for a player who's not only lazy but a dumb hockey player.

Does Travis even coach? He thought he was playing in the game cause the broadcast showed him arguing with a golden knights player .

It’s been said before by many of you, but I’ll say it from my own perspective, I’m still pleasantly surprised & impressed by this Team.

It was hard to watch that game slip away after taking the lead, but I’m grateful for the opportunity these Playoffs are providing our young core.

Looking forward to Game 5 and still believe our Boys have a chance - 1 win at a time as they say.

Enjoy your night everyone
