Vlasic played with hairline fracture in right foot (suffered Game 4). They froze it every game so he can play.

Let's face it, Kings are just are banged up but we won't know how badly until after their season

Hockey players are such warriors. What other sport does a guy play 3 games with a fractured foot?

And I wondered about kings injuries after the Blue series, how physical that was. I really give them credit, they seem to push through pain and endure.

So true, basketball players have a sore knee or something and we hear about it constantly game-to-game. :shakehead

yeah..but you have a good chance of turning the hawks into road kill if you face them. you should still cheer for us to beat detroit. they're an ugly team and you should join w/ the hawks in wanting to give them the middle finger on their way out of the western conference.

...come on. no one cheers for detroit. that's just wrong :shakehead

I have to agree. I really can't do this.

I can't stand the Detroit band wagon fans.

I am pretty sure that with any of the teams left, the Kings style will be more to their liking. Not that they win but I think the ice will be more open.

Like a lot of open ice against Pitt would be beneficial to us.

Really? Most Sharks fans like myself are unhappy that our head coach overstayed his welcome 2 years ago. He cost us this game.

NBC kept commenting on how he hd the 4th line out there so much, but I thought they were effective at making us burn energy...

WHat does he do that's so bad? Genuine question. I don't usually get to see the intricacies.

Kings looked like they were finding their footing as a team these last few games...could bode well for the next series!! :yo:

I'm a Canucks fan who bet on the Kings to win the cup back in the middle of the year when the odds were pretty good.

Been on the roller coaster since, and it's probably cut a couple years off my life. It almost pains me to admit but the Kings style is growing on me. I really enjoy watching Quick, Kopitar, Greene, Doughty and Voyonov play.

After this it's going to be strange having you guys in the same division next year. At least that means I get to watch more Daryl Sutter press interviews

That division is going to be wild.

Just in case you're referring to me in regards to my post after the 0-2 start against the blues, I was implying that I thought DS would start Bernier in lieu of Quick. I believe I said "my money's on DS starting Bernier next game" or something to the effect. Like I said IF you're referring to me.

Doesn't even matter man, some people just can't help themselves after a great win. Let's all enjoy it!

That division is going to be wild.

Yea, there will definitely be lots of wild cards.

Hopefully it will be the defending Stanley Cup champions battling with a (likely) retooled Vancouver and San Jose teams.

I think Calgary and Phoenix (because of the ownership situation) are probably doormats for the next couple of years. I've also never really been sold on the Ducks, I think their blue line is a significant liability moving forward.

The team that really scares me is Edmonton. So much potential. Thankfully they are one of the worst run teams in the league, so hopefully they remain a disaster.

Has anybody talked about just how impressive Penner was tonight? I mean, he was a beast on the puck. I don't think there was one shift where he touched the puck where he didn't look determined. Just awesome. Good Job Dustin! :handclap:

After Quick and Willliams, I think Penner was the third best King . . . Dominant every time on the ice.

Quick-Tory!!!!
