I've been begging for Toffoli to play on the line with Carter and Richards. We'll see if Sutter finally gives the kid credit

I want to say I love the kid but I don't like this idea. You need someone to bang the puck around the boards. I would prefer to put penner there, and move toffoli to play with Lewis and stoll/Richardson. This is more balanced and dross king down to the 4th line.

Crazy seeing the kings get respect.

Well, that guy is a longtime Kings' fan, who was a longtime superhero poster at the big Kings' fansite most of us are refugees from, and whose handle I can't remember at the moment. Something to do with Michigan.

Very impressed with the kings playing without Greene, Mitchell and Stoll. Gave up three goals, but still found a way to win. PP was huge tonight. Doughty is the best playoff defenseman playing today.

It's a 4-3 league.

Sutter really is a mad scientist/genius. :thumbu:

I just finished the game. HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!! I thought I was going to give my dog a heart attack!

Toffoli is going to be a STAR in this league. I don't know how this kid won't be. I don't see the knock on his skating at all. He was all over the ice tonight. Amazing.

Lewie is MONEY in the playoffs.

I LOVE THIS TEAM! Never say die!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, and that Quick guy is pretty good, eh?

Oh yeah...and I LOVE DREW DOUGHTY!!!!!!! Holy **** is he amazing.

King with a *****in play to set up the Carter goal. Pulled back the stick so they guy couldn't get over. Crafty.

Yeah, I saw that right when it happened. Gave Carter just enough time to get that shot off. Pretty good play for a guy who sucks. :)

Gotta be honest, the replay they showed at the rink it looked like the delay of game penalty did go off Carter to me, but whatever. Just because they took two penalties doesn't mean they had to give up two goals. The could have, you know, decided to kill at least one of them off. Teams do do that from time to time...

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Kopitar has a pretty large cut almost in the same exact location as the previous high stick that occurred in Vancouver.

I think this must be a great experience for the 10+ Manchester players (plus Nick Shore) to witness. They see how hard you must work and what it takes to win.
They also see that the Kings will give their prospects a shot and give them a chance to succeed.

The first replay angle they show, about :30 in. You can see Vlasic flick the puck up, it seems to graze Carter's sleeve, and then it gets lost in the background. It emerges over their head at what looks to me like the same trajectory.

Also, Vlasic, immediately after the call, motions to the ref that the puck grazed Carter's sleeve.

So, borderline call sure, but close enough. Similar to some of those tripping calls where a guy gets a stick into the skates and the other player falls down; in those situations, and this one too, the refs pretty much have to make that call unless someone had a clear view otherwise. Maybe it touched Carter and maybe it didn't but if it did it didn't look like much. Thus, a penalty is called.

Even being total **** at the face off circle and they still win.

They were clutch when they needed to be. I think they won 3 or 4 in a row during that last 2 minute 2 goal spurt to end the game.

On a side note I wish they would only track to wins in the attack zones. Really doesn't matter as much who wins them in the neutral zone.

Don't jinx us. Winner of this series plays Chicago.....That's the one team I am worried about

sorry - that wasn't a jinx post - i'm more scared of you guys than SJ...but am happier to face you for a great series, if that makes any sense...so it's not a passive aggressive jinx.

if we beat you...i think we'll win the cup (jinx ) ... b/c i think you're the toughest competition out there (east or west) and i think if we can beat you then we can beat anyone.

outside of you, i think the hawks toughest competition would be the bruins...but that's for another thread and another day.

any way...no jinxes..hopefully you win two more and we win 3 more (and raffi hits the golf course ;))
