Colorado’s defense being totally mid and 4giev as the starter. Honestly don’t think they’ll make it out of a 7 game series against the Jets who are much more balanced and complete top to bottom.

Obviously having Mackinnon probably at least gives you a chance at a game 6 or 7. But Jets win this series imo.
That's probably the thing we don't hear much so far "Our defense". I'm not saying defense is the reason Georgiev is doing so bad hell put Annunen I think with this defense any goalie would've trouble. They give so many cross pass chances, no one is getting pushed out of the crease that's free roam for a big team like Jets and of course Makar/Toews being super average this year. If Avs wanna win I think it starts with the defense.

This will be a really good series. Lets see how the Avs deal with the Bowness system, which can be suffocating in the playoffs. Jets have the huge advantage in net. Georgiev could fall apart and be exposed for all we know.

This where the Avs hope that beefing up their forward lines with Duhaime, Trenin, and Wood will help them withstand WPG's size. That 7-0 result sure was ....something, though.

Goalies are undervalued on this site, IMO, but this series might show, once again, how valuable having the best goalie is in the playoffs.

Jets need to stay out of the box, though, or that'll lose the series for them.

Hopefully this is a statement playoffs for Helle. He’s been inconsistent the last few years (unfortunately especially at home) so please buyck that trend!

As an Avs fan, this isn't close. I can't believe the Avs are actually favoured. Betting my house on the Jets.

Avs have a switch they can flip come playoff time, Jets need to prove they can lock it down in the playoffs like they do in the regular season. Helle has a lot to prove in the playoffs as well.

Both teams are hungry and have something to prove in different ways. Both play a very different system that can expose the other if they don't play to their strengths.

I think it's going to be a good series and won't be surprised if it goes the distance. Just have to hope that whoever Dallas plays gives them enough fits to wear them down before whoever wins this round gets there.

Thankfully neither of these teams are particularly dirty - so much less of a chance of getting maimed for either team

Don't really have a strong feeling either way on this one. Definitely not the ideal matchup for the Avs but not one that's unwinnable either, they still have the three best skaters in this series. Obvious edge to Winnipeg in goal but Hellebuyck has looked human in playoff series before.

Really depends on if the Jets are going to be able to slow down the Avalanche through the NZ. Ricky I'm sure will have something schemed up but I dunno if I love the personnel of the Winnipeg blueline to handle that speed. Structured and slow methodical series the Jets will take but the Avs have a way of forcing you to trade chances.
