:bow::bow::bow: quick!!!

so happy dont have to see this team again.

bring on the sucks!!! oh wait, they lost and can be eliminated on sunday.

Wow, if you're listenig to the post game talk on radio right now, some creepy dude called and said that he grew up playing street hockey with Brown. He really sounded like a stalker.

He sounded almost annoyed that "dustin" hasn't brought the cup back to his home town of camarillo hahaha.

If kings talk would hire a screener the show would probably be allot easier to listen to.

That Penner goal was amazing. Elliott must have thought the period was over. As Jim Fox says in the video below, Penner must have heard his teammates on the bench to shoot the puck, as we were all shouting from the stands (yeah, like he heard us).

When I looked up, I saw three zeroes and had no idea whether it counted or not.

When the Blues returned to play in the third from the locker room, I noted their demeanor...they looked absolutely deflated, and played like it the first few minutes of the period. But credit has to go out to them, they made life interesting there for most of the third.

Tough, tough opponent to face in the first round. Hopefully, it hasn't worn the Kings out for the next one.

Penner comments were; – I think there were probably 20 guys and three coaches yelling for me to shoot.

Seeing as how this was such a hard fought series and we can all agree that well be dealing with the Blues for years to come, i was wondering who has the younger team. Does anyone have that info handy?

2/3 of the line is fine. Kopi just isn't himself.

Yeah, it's weird to see, but Kopitar is playing like there's vodka in his water bottle.

Toffoli was so solid, I hope he ends up taking Dwight King's spot. King has been useless and the Richards-Carter line haven't done much. Toffoli will open things up, I guarantee that. Martinez so solid, once again. I'm happy Ellerby is out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Kings 4-0 without Ellerby?

King's big body creates space out there for richards & carter. Of course I'd love a more skilled guy there, but I think he's filling his role just fine.

Kopitar must be playing with an injury and doing his best...

Yeah I feel like he is too, but what could the injury be? I mean he's just making bad pass after bad pass, and he's not able to stickhandle at all. I was convinced it's the knee, but now I'm not sure.

Dustin Penner. 2 series-winning goals in the Kings uniform.

Unreal. This series wasn't pretty but they got the job done. It'll be interesting to see ow the Kings look against the next opponent. Were the Kings playing bad this series or were the Blues just playing that well? Hard to tell, but hot damn, round 2...

Unrelated note, but what the heck was with the puck tonight? It was bouncing all over the ice all night long.

Toffoli really impressed me last night. I really hope he puts on some muscle this summer. He could be a gamebreaker for us next season.

That's what I'm thinking too. I thought he was going to get murdered by guys like Backes, Polak, Stewart, Reaves, etc. but the kid's held his own and looks great out there. A top line of Brown-Kopi-Toffoli next year sounds amazing.

Just caught my recording. Fantastic series win in a series they were outplayed for the most part.

Quick, Doughty, and Penner were fantastic tonight. Kopitar was unfortunately horrid.

Hopefully the entire team gets rolling here in the semifinals. The minimal travel for the all-California matchup should be nice for the team.

What can I say? So damn friggin happy about the series win. The bend don't break philosophy continues on. Rope and dope and all that.

Was at the game! Holy snikes!

Quick was amazing and I think he was a little hurt in the first period, favoring his right side a little. Could be a twisted ankle or something.

And Penner's goal was amazing, couldn't believe there was .2 seconds left. I originally thought it wasn't going to count but that's a once in a lifetime goal. You'll never see that again, a winning goal with .2 seconds in the period? Yeah you won't see that again. Simply amazing and the team deserves a couple days of rest, hopefully they can be on the mend and get ready for the next showdown.

So, one thing I took away from this series is that I can't wait to see Toffoli on the roster full time next season. He is really something special and stepped up big time in a high pressure situation. He was a shining star on that 4th line, and really showed that he has got the stuff to be a Top 6 forward. And even though people accuse him of not being strong enough, he was pretty damn effective along the boards, in the corners, and throwing hits. He is going to be amazing.

Also, I know he has the skill set to play Top 6 minutes and all, but honestly... with him on the 4th line tonight, the 4th line was absolutely kicking A** and I kinda like having a more-potent-than-expected bottom 6.

Man they got outplayed and still won, Quick was just money throughout. Can't wait for these guys to get some rest and recoup from such a brutal series. The 4th line really impressed me...

I would probably add Williams to that list.

Him too but he'd be last.

I also thought that freakin Toffoli was great. This kid shocked me. He was playing perfectly and confidently. I can't believe he looked so good against the Blues. damn did this kid make me happy or what :handclap::handclap:

Dame I wish I could watch the feeds with Jim and Bob. I don't understand why GCL is shafting us europeans every playoff.

It's not just you. The Kings feeds aren't on GCL at all. The home feed is NBC and the away is CBC. No local feeds at all. But since the first round is done there won't be a local feed anyway. Bob and Jim are done for the year.

With the series win, the last of the four teams we met last year on the way to the cup is done. 2 never made it, and 2 are now out. Welcome to the new year. :yo:
