This series is going to take 10 years off of my life. Holy **** that whole game was a struggle. Glad to win, but we need to play better. There's no way Quickie can survive this for four more games.

I also agree with the poster who said Kopitar's hurt. It was obvious (to me at least) that something was wrong.

3 Stars of the game:

1. Referees! Ok its a win!
2. Quick. Great performance
3. Blind Blues shooting!

I didn't notice any big mistakes by Muzzin in the 3rd, so there's that.

judging by this board Kopitar must be leading the league in hidden injuries each year

Kopitar is injured, just watch him skate in third.

He has zero power on one of those legs.

Ellerby was the low man TOTAL MINUTES wise.

Looks like they're easing martinez back in. Wouldn't be surprised if ellerby gets the scratch next game for Nolan or Richardson...

WE need goals and PP help... play toffoli :)

Doubt it. Unless Greene is back at full strength. The way these games are going, one failed PK could be the game.

I agree, it looked to me that Kopi has some kind of injury, that seemed evident at least 3 times in the 3rd and it wasn't at the end of his shifts.

This game was great. Playoff hockey at its best. Intensity, great goaltending from both goalies, 4th lines chipping in and being anoying, 2 teams very well coached, and hits, hits and hits but clean ones, solid ones.

Yes, it would be fun winning 4-1 or so, but personaly I predicted a 7 game series, St-Louis made the best moves in the NHL at the trade deadline and they are a very inspired team, much like LA was last year.

GKG!

Kopi is clearly hurt. It's a shame one of these teams is eliminated in the first round. This is two very good teams. One on the top of their game (st. Louis) and us less then our best. Hopefully we get better and they cool off.

very happy. that was a tough fought game on both sides. quick is playing incredible and we are obviously having some puck luck in that one.....we needed that after the first two games.

Kings need more goals scored so I don't have to be so worried every play :)

Now that mancheaster is out any chance pearson could slide into the 2nd lw spot ? benching king? im happy with playing 7 defense keep nolan out. quick was huge again tonight. I agree with whoever it was thinking kopitar is hurt He just isnt playing like himself.

Still not convinced. 3 goals in 3 games. We've yet to figure out their defense. This win just feels like it's a band aid.

[/debbiedowner]

I'm not either and it doesn't make you a debbie downer for it. 3 goals in 3 games is sad. 3 straight games with too many men calls is pathetic. Offsides and icings multiple times on the PP. This team is playing very poor fundamental hockey and top guys like Kopi and Richards are sucking.

kopi's minutes are NEVER right along Williams' minutes.. this time they were 19:38 to 19:36, with kopi as a centerman and a main PK guy... to log the same minutes as williams says something. Carter was the Forward minute leader with 22.

I do think kopitar's hurt, he's not at that playoff intensity level. Even on D he's looking very average.. as a player that's never looked average in his career, something has to be wrong. Hope it heals quickly.

Outstanding game by Quick, Isn't great to have an elite goalie! The Kings have got to get more possession time in the offensive zone otherwise its going to be a very short lived celebration.

King, Ellerby, and Muzzin! Totally useless! Please bench Jake Muzzin! I'de rather we play with 5 D-men! Holy smokes he stinks!
