I agree with you except for the fact the Kings will prevail in this series in 6. If and when the Kings face Chicago is when the season will end.

If we can beat the Blues we can beat anybody. The blues are the team to beat this year. Not chicago.

I think Chicago would kill the Blues, Chicago's pace is off the charts.

They are not going to be denied if the Kings get knocked out.

Marian Hossa is just a beast, the Blues have no answer for the scoring Chicago is going to put up.

Brown was on pace to have 30 goals if it had been an 82-game schedule.

Brown was a warrior on the ice tonight. The CNBC feed also showed him really pissed off the the bench after the scrum with Backes in front of the net. If only some of the other "core" players on this team showed half the heart maybe we are coming home with a split.

Brown may be a streaky guy, but man when he turns it on. WOW.

Chicagos small forwards would get buried by the Blues checking.

Chicago small ?

LOL....

You miss Toews and Bolland owning the kings this year ?

Hossa ? Kane is small, but that guy is the best player on the planet right now.

Kane is actually the smallest Forward Chicago has.

We weren't good at all against them this year so I'm not considering that. Look at how hard the blues hit and we are the biggest team in the NHL. Chicago is a passive team. They wouldn't pass the blues defense and checking.

This series is a long way from over. Kings just need to show up for 3 periods for a change. And why are Kings fans talking about Chicago vs St Louis? The Blues aren't going anywhere but golfing after this series with the Kings.

WOW.

You don't watch the Hawks play at all.

Passive ?

They have the highest pace out of any team in the league.

They attack , attack , attack. That's all they do.

Their problem lies in Goal. You don't know witch Crawford is going to show up.

I don't think he is. I remember when there were trade rumors about him last season and how many people wanted him on their team.

My bad, I think his offense is underrated. He has a pretty great shot. People dont seem to know that.

Sound good GM make the trade.

Ignorant response. He doesn't know who is available.

Would you trade Richards + for Vanek?
Would you trade Richards for Pacioretty?
Would you trade Richards for Kadri and a pick?

You seem to have no issues with him taking up 5.75 million a year until 2020, some may. He played nowhere near an almost $6 million dollar player this year. Not even close, he stunk at ES.

I agree with you nothing will happen this summer, but I disagree with you when you say there is no chance he is moved next summer if he sleepwalks through another season.

They are a skating team, not a physical team. They are a pretty small team too. They are fast and talented but not very physical.

if Richards plays average.....Like 17 to 20 Goals about 55 to 60 points ....Is he going anywhere ?

He is on pace for about that this year....

Kadri ....Are you serious ?

Vanek is a franchise player....

At least make the trade believable.

His cap hit is not bad for his production. Similar second line centers about thee same.

Franchise player yes, but when he wants to be moved and a teams rebuilding they wouldn't set a crazy price because no one will bite and they get nothing. I think vanek would be probable.

Is he a defensive liability next year like he was this year?

Does he go through stretches where he is one of the best players on the ice then one of the worst?

Honestly it wouldn't shock me if MR scored 70 points or 30 points next season, he is one of the most inconsistent players from game to game that I have ever seen play for the Kings. I personally feel like he is on the downside of his career, largely because of his style over the years, so that is why I think trading him while his value would still be high would be the smart thing to do, that obviously puts me in the minority on this board. I might be right, I might be wrong. I think next year will be very telling for what kind of player MR will be for the rest of this very long and large contract. But if he plays like he did this year, especially when it comes to goals against and lack of production 5 on 5, he will not bring back as much as some may think if DL does decide to move him.

Until it happens it all just garbage.talk.

Find me a quote a credible source , saying Vanek wants to be a king.

We said the same about Stoll, and he got resigned....

Hell Ryan Smyth was going to stay as well, Lombardi probably was going to resign the guy, until he cried his way out.

AND THAT GUY was a 6.5 million anchor.

No one said he wants to be a king. He said he wanted out . I'm saying we have what it takes to pull off that trade.

Kadri is a fantastic young talent who is only going to get better. He is trending upward, I have no idea if he would be effective on the wing though, was just throwing out a name.

Vanek was another name I through out, but it will never happen. If they move him Buffalo will be looking for younger players and picks. Not a guy with a huge longterm contract who's point production has gone down considerably over the years.

Pacioretty would be exactly the kind of player the Kings need. A good sized left shooting, left winger. Who knows if the Habs lose in the first round maybe they panic and feel like they need to trade for someone with previous cup winning experience. I think that would be a wonderful wonderful deal for the Kings, do you agree?

All Vanek said was he is ok leaving if Buffalo finds a very good deal for him.

No...

The whole reason to get Mike was so Stoll didn't have to play 2nd line center....

And the fact it's Mike Richards....Who is going to replace him ?

Vey ?

Are you kidding me.

Herby....Come on man. You hate the fact that Lombardi left a gaping hole at LW and Second line Center...

I know Richards play pissed you off this season. But the guy did show up for a cup run....

The first one, in like 45 years.

So now address LW and create that gapping hole again ?

Also don't say Carter....Carter seems to be a much better winger.

He can concentrate on what he does best...Score Goals.

Stoll stayed because we won the cup. If the Kings lose in the first or second round last year do you think Stoll is brought back?

As for Smyth, well I spent quite a bit of time on this very board arguing with people who thought he was a positive acquisition for the Kings. In the end it was a trade that nearly cost the Kings a chance to win the 2012 Stanley Cup. Had Smyth not wanted out the Kings would not have been able to make some of the moves they did. I am not comparing Richards to Smyth, I don't believe Richards is a me first, money only player like Smyth was/is. But at the same time I wonder what kind of player MR is going to be 2-4 years from now, much less 5-7 years from now when the contract is up. Hopefully there are still compliance buyouts.
