Is he a defensive liability next year like he was this year?
Does he go through stretches where he is one of the best players on the ice then one of the worst?
Honestly it wouldn't shock me if MR scored 70 points or 30 points next season, he is one of the most inconsistent players from game to game that I have ever seen play for the Kings. I personally feel like he is on the downside of his career, largely because of his style over the years, so that is why I think trading him while his value would still be high would be the smart thing to do, that obviously puts me in the minority on this board. I might be right, I might be wrong. I think next year will be very telling for what kind of player MR will be for the rest of this very long and large contract. But if he plays like he did this year, especially when it comes to goals against and lack of production 5 on 5, he will not bring back as much as some may think if DL does decide to move him.
