I really don't get it. Clifford plays miserable hockey for years, most nights the worst forward on the ice and is not only never scratched, he is often moved up to scoring lines and was even used as an extra attacker.

Fast forward to this series and Clifford is arguably one of the best players on the ice for the Kings, and is promptly scratched.

Very strange indeed

As bad as our top guys have been on the ice, Sutter has been worse. He's made some mind boggling decisions during this series. Mind boggling.

I'm the first to defend Sutter on most days, but he's really cost us this series. Dressing Shore for game two. Refusing to break up obviously **** top six lines. King on Kopitar's wing. This Clifford nonsense.

I think he understands how lost this team is right now, and he's just throwing **** at the wall to see what sticks. He's coaching desperately, and it's obvious.

I actually agree to an extent. I don't think the series is Sutter's fault by any means, but he is making some questionable decisions; though the players are doing more than their part in making him look dumb, he is getting outcoached. And we haven't yet seen that since his arrival.

It's hilarious to me that they keep going back to a line that has exhibited zero chemistry every time they are together in Lucic-Kopitar-Gaborik, and I don't expect that to suddenly change tonight.

I hope King & Shore aren't playing. It should be Andreoff & Clifford, not King & ****ing Shore.

Is that how they lined up yesterday?

Maybe King can jump on the ice and get beat into the zone where Shore can somehow lose the most dangerous player on the ice and let him score on the first shot again.

Clifford has been great. Shore is ****ing ****.

I really hope they win, I wanna see Vinny play more for as long as possible, such a great and fun to watch player. Sure would suck to send him off in a bad way.

I fully expect an elimination tonight, but at least go out ****ing swinging for the full 60+ minutes. We have yet to put together a complete game of Kings hockey, which has been the most embarrassing part of this series for me. The Sharks are clearly the far superior team and they are executing their gameplan so damn well. They also aren't playing dirty, which I respect. Herlt is a fart sniffer, but he's doing a good job getting under the Kings' skin.

I'm still waiting to see us play at our best. I haven't seen it since the regular season and I haven't seen it all series. Like Basilisk said, if we can win tonight the pressure shifts to them. I've seen the boys get up for a big game, and there's no bigger game than an elimination game.
The pressure was also supposed to switch to them for game 4 after we won game 3?

I was at the first exhibition game of the season!! It didnt look good then either.

Why isn't Double A playing over Shore? And god Damn King has been terrible this series. Good on d but his lack of offense is mind blowing. Scuds needs to retire already. I'm over the nostalgia.

I expect nothing less than 2013 Kings Game 5 vs. Chicago in effort. Guys were dead, but went out heroically. If we get that kind of game, I promised myself I wouldn't complain about the results--I just want us to keep bringing the hammer.

Also, lol Hertl. Guy isn't doing anything but showing up late to scrums and begging the refs to save him at which point he throws a glove punch. I love his game during play, but he's a total flower when it comes to getting gritty.

yeah King and Shore is one of those 'paper-good' defensive lines that doesn't work in actuality because one guy is missing compete and the other is missing any foot speed. I don't see good things happening if those two are combined.

A loss tonight would be a repeat of 2011 in the sense that the Kings lost all three games at Staples.

That's always a nice playoff run for those paying to go to the games.

That King-Shore-Lewis line, what the heck is that? Maybe a shutdown line? Their lack of offense is strong, so strong, that nothing they, nor the Sharks do can escape it's gravitational pull.

Play Gravel! What the hell is there to loose?

Where are people getting these lines? We haven't had morning skate updates yet

My lines aren't updated. I don't think they've been right for a few games. I'll try and get them right by tonight.

We are currently on a hair trigger as far as rage goes so hopefully Shore isn't drawing back in.

Come to think of it, he may be the perfect player for how this series is being called since he's never hit someone in his NHL career.

Ha! That Game 3 was SPECTACULAR. The Kings raced to a 3-0 lead in the first, we all stood in line for beer smiling our faces off, the Kings made it 4-0 right after intermission, the Sharks tied it by the end of the second, and at intermission we all stood in line for the pissoir with sour looks on our faces.

The Sharks won it 6-5 in OT.

Don't have to remind me, although I hadn't thought about it in a long time since so much good as happened since then.

That was classic Kings though. Lose Kopitar right before the playoffs, hang real tight with a #2 seed only to blow that game at home when up 4-0 and then lose with Thornton sliding across the ice in Game 6.

Crazy to think that the Kings would win the Cup the next season. Haven't been too many crushing home playoff losses since then except for Game 4 2013 WCF and Game 6 2014 WCF.

This series is doing its best to change that.
