4 shots.

Nobody on this team can do a thing right on the ice. Now being outscored 18-8 at home against the Sharks this year.

I am trying to hold out hope, slowly fading but still have hope. Sutter needs to but Carter on Kopitars wing, maybe spark them both. Can't stand any D man not named Doughty or Muzzin.

A good start for the off season would be to let all our UFAs walk. Save money

Lucic - he is slowing down, pitch money at Yandle. Same offence but PP QB and DD partner
Versteeg - stop gap. Mersch time
Lewis - his time has come, Dowd on bottom 6
Schenn - Greene is just as big, just as bad, just older and under contract
McBain - Gravel needs experience

Anyways, game is far from over. Let's see what team comes out after the break. We should tell just how hungry they are

Calls for rebuild are the stupid. You don't rebuild with a #1 defenseman, #1 center and #1 goalie in their prime. Retooling is all that's needed, fill all the role player positions with hungry players.

OK, let's retool the other 20 guys then.

Hopefully Sutter is gone after this debacle, don't want him as a coach anymore. Thanks for the 2 Cups, but its time to part ways.

Lol, you people are so dramatic.

If you can't see the writing on the wall then you must be blind. The Sharks turned their ship around by getting a new coach, retooling, and changing their captain. Brown does not deserve to be captain of anything, not even an assistant. Maybe of the Reign...

Exactly

Kopitar - Doughty -Quick. That's an elite backbone
Carter - Muzzin. That's great bang for the buck support
Toffoli - Pearson. Youth with upside
Merch, Dowd, Gravel/Forbert - Time to inject some younger pups

The rest is all replaceable - some still decent pieces in Cliffy, Andy A, AMart, King,

Brown, Greene, Scuderi - really only bad contracts we have, Scuderi placed in the AHL costs us diddly and if Greene returns healthy it won't be quite as bad but 2.5 for an aging injured #6 still sucks.

Retooling is a better word, this team isn't in need of a rebuild. They just can't waste or burn future assets anymore on these temporary fillers. Build a team that will be together long term.

Easier said than done. Not many assets you want to trade or that people will want, free agency sucks, no cap room

Yeah, pretty amazing how negative people get. Let's just burn down everything, right?!

It is bad.

I'm generally an optimist but right now there's not much reason to think the Kings are going to be any better than this in the foreseeable future.

Last season a lot of the team looked like they didn't even care anymore. Then you throw in the off-ice problems and the front office being pissed about half the team out partying in Vegas right after getting embarrassed. The teams culture seems to have gone south. This season they've been better but inconsistent with it. They're running a system that's increasingly predictable and either aren't playing to their strengths or they get penalized for it by the refs. This whole playoff series a lot of them seem like they just don't care much and it seems like Sutter is increasingly going to the same well over and over again even when it's not working. We lost our best picks next year in that senseless Sekera trade.

I've been a big defender of Brown all year but I think at this point he should go. Problem is, no one's going to take him without us giving up a lot.

Sure there are some positives. There just seem to be a lot more negatives than positives with the direction the team has been headed since 2015 and there aren't many signs that the next few years are going to be better. Ya, things can turn around but there's no sign of it right now so it's understandable that people are negative right now.
