He was lights out until the parade to the box began. He will be just fine

Holloway should have been called up already and had a few regular games before season's end. Guy brings speed and is a tough forechecker. I guess it was the cap or the Condors being in the playoffs. Yeah, he made some bad defensive plays very early in the season but it's nonsense to keep him in Bakersfield right now. Janmark injured. Bring him in. Shore has played a few good games but to me, he doesn't move the needle as much as Holloway's speed could.

I still say we are flat out superior to this team. There were key errors that cost us and I bet lessons were learned. It's 7 games to reduce the luck factor and allow teams to settle into a series.

I like Holloway but I would not put him in for Janmark. He just isnt an adequate replacement for a very smart and responsible player like Janmark. Holloway is a very poor defensive player and very suspect at puck management. He is still very much a work in progress.
They need a reliable veteran IMO. This game is too important.

I know that this will be wildly unpopular but I would put in Shore. Either that or go 11-7 for this game assuming that Janmark will be back in game 3.

Shore aint great 5v5 but is strong on the PK. Put Shore in instead and still cut his 5v5 minutes and run the forwards mostly like 11-7.

I’d play Shore over Broberg for sure. Shore has a motor. He forechecks and he hits. The Kings are actually a decent matchup for a player like Shore. He could even get lucky and pot one.

It's about the dynamics for me...if you go on the road and take the opening two games, you've set yourself up nicely to take a stranglehold on the series with your home crowd behind you for games 3 & 4. Drop the first two games on the road, you come home with the home crowd to get back into it.

Drop the first two at home, you pretty much have to win both on the road to give yourself a chance and make it a best of three.

This stat would not have changed much but according to this two years ago, teams to go down 2-0 are 51-330 in the NHL playoffs.

What's the record of NHL playoff teams down 0-2 in a series? Not good.
