It is funny....for years people would talk about the McDavid needing someone who could feed off of him. Now that they have him, it's said this guy is being carried.

Hyman is a f***ing workhorse out there. He is not being "carried". Is he benefiting from being with McDavid? Of course he is. Who the f*** wouldn't? But he isn't being carried.

Most sport fans lack the awareness needed to understand that it take a special kind of player to be able to develop and maintain chemistry with the absolute best of their craft, and keep up with their high standards night in and night out.

Could just be gamesmanship from Deboer not wanting to tip his hand but Tanev is a warrior so I’m sure if he’s able they’ll freeze him up and he’ll go.

If he goes then the Oilers have to target him, dump pucks on him and pressure him, make him skate and pivot lots on that bad foot. Same thing if he’s going to get into shooting lanes to block shots you gotta unload heavy shots and make him feel those blocks.

EDM has been the better team for the majority of the series, and they have the best players in the world. They should be in the finals, and everyone would be better for it.

The PP needs to have a good game, if the Oil want to win this series. Admittedly, DAL have scored 0 PP goals as well, but normally you don't win a series while having a bad PP.

EDM is proving to everyone they are possibly the best team in the NHL. I think they are.

This is such elitist sounding BS. You could point out just about any top 6 forward in the league and saying the player is 'special' and insert the reason why. What Hyman is doing isn't unique. He is just doing it for a very fair price that fits in the oilers cap space. Oh and if the oilers didn't lock him up then they would be dealing with the issue the Panthers are in with Reinhart.

Just bring the game to him and make him play it hard.

Other than Tanev not being able to go, Edmonton fans should really be hoping to see Bichsel in the lineup tonight for Dallas.

He's a very undisciplined player who took a ton of costly penalties at the AHL level this season. Sometimes multiple in one game. Very physical player as well and often times gets caught out of position going for physical plays.

He's physically a NHL player but probably still a season or 2 off from being a regular. Not a fun guy to face in board battles though. Strong and huge defender. You can almost guarantee he will be delivering some big cross-checks out there tonight lol

Also, he's slow to move the puck sometimes. I can't tell if it's insane patience or slow decision making yet

The best player in the world couldn't get Nuge, Strome, Eberle, Hall , Jokinen and atleast a dozen others close to 40 goals in the previous 7 yrs.

It is really not easy to be a linemate of McDavid as proven by history. Luckily Hyman clicked and both helped each other and their line/team to extra production.

Hyman going to the dirty areas and cleaning up the chances helped McD get to 100 assists.

Win-win for all other than TML fans

Hopefully Tanev can play... he doesn't scare EDM .. Oilers know exactly what he is and would prefer facing him over Hakanpaa..

Nugent Hopkins just put up 37 goals and over 100 points last year playing a bulk of his minutes with McDavid. Hall and Eberle left at soon as McDavid got there. Just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing if it sticks now?

Internationally speaking, Swiss are on a downturn and haven't had many exciting players drafted in the last few drafts. Bischel is an exciting prospect and this would be great for him and the Swiss!

Oiler speaking.. yes please!

FTR. Hope Tanev plays and is healthy. Also, hope he isn't in front of any Bouch Bombs.lol
