If you would have told me we would be up 3-2 going home with a chance to win the series before this series started, I would have been ecstatic. With that said I'm having severe conflicting emotions tonight. Part of me feels that we wasted a golden opportunity, yet another part feels we were lucky as hell even being in that game considering how bad Quick, Voynov, Mitchell, and the 4th line were. Oh well, emotions are going to be insane around here if we blow game 6

Kings have only scored first once this entire series, and have three wins. With a Chance to close out on home ice. You bet I take that.

Take that in heartbeat. The Hawks have blown leads in every single game but one.

Kings also wasted a golden opportunity in game 1. Got lucky in game 2.

I wouldnt pay to much attention to it. That's why its a 7 game series and not the super bowl.

Friday is Game 7 as far as I'm concerned.

This. I actually thought last night should've been our game 7 because you can't give the Hawks momentum. They'll burry you. Friday is game 7, hopefully Quicks finds his form. He's been class for the most part of the playoffs and stood on his head for a bunch of games but last night was…. I don't even know how to describe it. He made unbelievable saves but gave up a lot of juicy rebounds (didn't seem too confident).

We cannot, I repeat, CANNOT have this go to 7.

And the Kings probably had to win Game 3 against SJ too. Had to. Just had to.

As a fan, it doesn't matter to the ultimate result of a game, but it's weird to psych yourself out like that.

Game seven, is game seven, so all of you (Game six is a must win) people not going to bother to watch Game Seven if the Kings have to play one ?

The Kings are 6-0 in (must win elimination games). The Hawks are capable of crapping the bed Just like the Kings. Just look at how the Hawks have blown Four leads now.

Four guys, four leads.....

^^^ Now we are doomed already.

This place is unbearable sometimes.

What are some expecting, that we should beat these guys all the time and Chicago had waved the white flag already ?

Almost got four straights wins vs the Blackhawks.

Heck after game one some folks were ready to waive the White Flag for the Kings.

With the Hawks being the Kings kyptonite and all.

Tough loss, but a good game. Much better 5v5. Plenty of opportunities to close it out.

If anybody was going to get the winner, it had to be Handzus.

I propose we retire "That 70s Line" and go with "Los Sietes" instead.

Good morning folks.

Didn't expect a win. The Hawks are on the brink of elimination, at home where they are 7-1? Yeah, wasn't going to happen. They put up a great fight, but some blown assignments, and Quick giving out rebounds like the clearance bins at your local Walmart, and it was a recipe for a loss.
Kings win game 6 on Friday. No doubt in my mind.

The Hawks are doing what the Kings did in the first two series. Saw their holes, kept making adjustments, and are now playing better. Wish the Kings could have ended it last night because the games will only get harder. Not good for my heart. :)

All this and still went to 2OT and had plenty of opportunities to close it out.

We'll see how the Hawks do against a motivated home team that dictates the matchups. I have a feeling the outcome will be different.

the Kings had probably the sloppiest start of the series last night and still almost greased out a win. worried? pffffttttt

I agree. If this goes to Game 7 against the Hawks, the odds of winning the game are significantly lower than they were against the Sharks or the Ducks. The Blackhwaks have a lot of experience finding a way to win and I see it as a significant challenge to beat them in them in their own barn in Game 7. The Hawks have been the best, the elite, the last few years and I wouldn't bet against them in a game 7 in chicago, despite my belief in the Kings.

Good morning folks.

Funny pictures or gifs always start my day off right. :D. I'm waiting for Steve Dangle to put his commentary on last night's game up on YouTube.

Whenever the Kings win in convincing fashion, I watch NHL tonight and scour the internet for commentary on the game. When the Kings lose I go, "Shut up," and turn off the TV and go to bed.

I woke up angry today and I'm still angry. Kings had a chance to end this and they pissed it away. Then I am now being forced to do something and will miss most of Game 6. So angry

That's a tough way to look at it. There was another team on the ice trying to win, and it's a really good one. Pissed it away sounds like the Kings were playing the Oilers or Sabres last night. It was Game 5, against the Hawks, in Chicago, their season was on the line, and the Kings still did indeed have a chance.

I know how you feel. I've known since before the playoffs started that I had to be somewhere on the 30th of May. Sure enough, Game 6 of this series gets scheduled for that day. I figured this series would go 6 or 7, but that the Kings did have a chance there...it is irritating. Not sure if or when I'll get to see any of the game. I'll gladly take a win in Game 6 and not see it though, than having a free day on Sunday to wonder about Game 7.

What's with all the Game 7 remark complaints? All the players and coaches have been saying the Kings have approached every game as a Game 7 in this series.

Man, some of you guys must've been a mess when the Kings went from being up 3-0 in the 2012 Cup Final to 3-2 in the series heading into Game 6.

This team knows how to perform in high pressure situations. They've had their backs against the wall, they know how Chicago will come out flying just as they did in the past two games. So long as Quick plays better, they can seal this series at home.

I shaved my beard :D

Of course I want the Kings to win game six but if they lose, game 7 sets up to be an epic battle. Hawks will be like 13-0 in game 5,6, and 7 in the last 2 years. Williams, Gaborik, Richards, Carter, Quick, etc game 7 records.

Even though it was a loss I thought that was a very entertaining game. Kings game out flat as all hell, but were able to come back.
Can't wait for Friday!

The worst part of that game is I never felt they were going to lose. Even when they went down early I had the confidence they would come back and they did. A lot of positives. Quick needs to be sharper though.

Your first point is true. I just hate that we finally got the lead and let them get back in it. My anger is further compounded by being forced to do something on Friday which was thrown at me immediately after the game last night. I don't ask for much and watching the Playoffs is one thing I do for myself. So pissed I have to miss it.

We can all relate to this. The absolute worst is when you have someone come up to you and give updates. "What a goal by Gaborik!!!" I just stand there and shake me head.

Ugh, yeah.

Though I will say when I saw that line fumbling the puck repeatedly at our blue line I figured bad things would happen.

Gonna need superhuman Quick to show up for the closeout.
