I think the ripping on Muzzin is a little over the top. The kid is a rookie, again A ROOKIE. He had a fine rookie season and that would be the case even if he was paired with Bobby Orr out there.

He plays a position where every mistake he makes is magnified. I would like to give him some more time playing under Sutter before we go throwing him under the bus.

As the Hawks continue to injure King's entire roster, its the Kings that are intending to injure. Makes perfect sense.

Honestly I'd shake the lines up a little.

Clifford-Kopitar-Williams
Penner-Carter-Toffoli
Brown-Stoll-King
Fraser-Lewis-Richardson

Just spread the offense. The loss of Richards will hurt but Toffoli is a scoring machine and the Carter line is the least of concern. Kopitar needs to get going, he can singlehandedly take over a series IMO.

Yeah...if he was healthy.

Well, so far according to announcing, this will be an evening with the Black Hawks. Kings are the defending champs and you'd never know it

What have the Kings done on the ice to warrant any discussion time, other than generally be invisible?

The Kings have given them nothing to talk about so far. The story to this point has been Quick and after he let in 4 last game, there's no story left other than Richards injury. Light the lamp and make it a series and they'll be talking more about the Kings. Until then, its the Blackhawks show.

Good post. He needs a lot of work but that comes with age.

Helene says that warmups give the indication Stoll will center Brown and Williams, Kopitar will center King and Lewis. A variation of what I wanted after Game 2.

haha Sutter must be listening to me, I said Kopitar was struggling offensively so it makes sense to put him on a shutdown line

He had to get demoted. The team can't afford to keep all the **** the same and give him first line ice time because of his name.

At the very least, I would center him between Carter and Penner and try to make a scoring line. Giving him King is like saying **** it.

:amazed: Well, they could at least give the Kings a little sympathy. I mean, I thought the press would resort to tears for Crosby when the Pens lost last nite.

Regarding the "Quick needs to steal us one" comments. He's done it time after time. I think our forwards need to steal us one this time. No offense = no wins.

Yep, we've had two comfortable wins where our team has done enough that we haven't had to be worried for the whole 60 minutes. That's beyond unacceptable.

Why? The second line played fine last game, don't mess it up. The point is to try and get something out of the first line and quite frankly, Kopi is bringing that line down. Kopi on the 3rd line is fine, and where he should be since he is so limited. That can be a pure shut down line

The thought process is that if you spread everyone out, maybe Kopitar will be able do something as well. If he doesn't produce with bad linemates, it's no different than what he's doing with good ones.
