That's why I really hope Pearson and Toffoli work on their game this summer. Right now, our only option for any upgrade is to have trust in our homegrown products.

That's what I'm thinking. We have cap issues, and we need to use what little resources we have to bring in skilled players to compete. Is Holloway one of those guys? Who knows, but can he really be any worse than King, Clifford, or Nolan?

LOL! I heard that too and laughed. Too bad Loktionov couldn't play wing. Hopefully, Pearson will work hard this Summer and be ready for a shot. We must get King out of here forever. Guys like Moulson and Holloway didn't get a shot. Oh well. Purcell got somewhat of a chance, but that was a brutal deal DL made for Halpern. I was scratching my head at Breakfast with the GM, and DL projected Purcell as #2 RW. And they gave up on him pretty fast.

At any rate, regardless of what you may or may not think of Martinez, what's truly laughable is that Kopitar, Brown, Penner, and to a lesser extent Carter have all been no shows, but everyone's *****ing about Martinez and Dwight ****ing King, as if THEY are the reason we are losing.

Don't worry, they deserve plenty of blame too.

But it's funny when people whine about getting him in after he was the worst player on the ice in Game 2 vs. SJ

But, didn't they decide to play elsewhere, rather than hang around? Doesn't sound like DL type guys, if that's what happened.

"La Kings over-rated? " lol.

But can he play in the NHL? The SEL or wherever he's been playing is light years apart from the mans league know as the NHL. For him, it will be more about learning to play defense and not just on the offensive side of the puck.

He'd be an upgrade thats for sure. A skilled gritty player. That fits the kings MO.
He might not be a "DL guy" but DL should nut up and sign him because he doesnt have much options.

Yep, Kings have to improve from within. Toffoli will obviously help there, and I actually think that while Muzzin is obviously in over his head at this point, he has gotten better over the course of the playoffs. He could be useful part of the team next year.

Beyond that, Forbert? Deslauriers? Pearson? Who knows?
 
I really don't know what to say. I keep expecting the real top guys to show up like magic and it's not happening. It's just shocking the difference between this year and last year.

What's a LW going to do?
