It's all about balancing the lineup, no need to label the lines. The 2nd line hasn't missed a beat tonight with TT.

Plus there is less defensive responsibility for a winger.

There is a need to label them because the 2nd line is going to get more ice time and Richards is not a winger. He's a center and a damn good one. He would be a complete waste playing on the 3rd line. Why would you demote him when Kopitar is playing like absolute ****?
