That isn't the only other option. Penner, Lewis, Richardson...anything is better than keeping this first line together, I've been saying that for weeks. It doesn't work anymore and we need to move on, if not, it's curtains.

^ Please this.....

Try Penner there...something.

Brown played his best game and period on the third line.

Still think it's stupid Martinez isn't playing.

I think so. Lots of fight to get better scoring chances but could not. Especially the first period.

The Kings should be fresh the way they played.

I agree.

We had Voynov and Muzzin paired up at times. That is just sad and unfair for both of them.

Martinez is the one player from last years cup winning team who is ready willing and able to play but for some illogical reason is in DS' doghouse.

He could make a difference especially on the road with his ability to move the puck out of the zone.

I also don't understand why Sutter hasn't used a Brown-Richards-Carter line. I get that Sutter makes strange coaching decisions, but some of these are clearly the wrong ones and that is starting to concern me.

Honoestly if people expect King to start making the difference.....

Everyone should be up in arms at that pathetic peformance from Kopitar,Brown/ Doughty too....

King is a plug that is paid the league minimum.
Are you acting like the voice of reason here or so ? I'm starting to think you are after reading your comments so far.

I just point out that he had two great (possible) scoring chances. Plug or no plug, league minimum or no league minumum. I'm not expecting him to take over the game.

Unbelievable that you just dont get that.

Brown played his best game on the third line....Should have left it that way.

Brown just has no drive on that first line, it neuters him for some reason this year.

Blame DL for not getting a player at the deadline or off-season then.

This game is on Sutter and the kings but a bit more on Sutter.

Spot on ^

The constant *****ing about Muzzin and King, Like those guys are suppose to be carrying the Kings....is stupid....

Those guys are plugs...

I am beside myself with how Kopitar has played this entire playoff's...

He better be hurt, Cause it's unacceptable.

It's bit more frustrating when you have more capable players like Toffoli and Martinez that can do a better job on the ice.

Effing THIS.

I was crucified for criticizing Dean for not picking up another forward at the deadline and that's exactly what we need. We literally have no NHL depth outside of Toffoli and that is concerning.

Whatever. It is what it is. As long as Kopitar and Brown are totally MIA were not winning this series, anyway.

The bright spot is we didn't get killed on faceoffs and won 52 pct. of them.Although it would've been nice to win the one after the Hawks used their timeout because they had tired players out there. They won it so clean it wasn't even funny and were able to make a change.

spot on my ***.

Do you seriously dont understand the difference between ''carrying the game'' and the observation of a fan who is noticing two missed opportunties whether its King or whoever ?

King isn't a great or even good player, but how much would the two or three goals he should have right now change anything? He's just an easy target.

Kopi has sucked for months and the Kings are paying him to be great.

Giving gagne away was the biggest mistake by dean this year. He did him a solid, but he would be a nice option on the left side right now.

Yeah, not many guys have played that well at all. We haven't played a full 60 all playoffs (except for Game 5 vs San Jose). Quick has kept us in every single game, the boys need to start helping him soon or this series is going to be done quick.

I don't think Gagne is a better option than Toffoli right now

King has one less even strength point than Kopitar, as many as Doughty. 7th on the team if you can believe that. One more than Brown, Penner, and Lewis. I think everyone's criticizing the wrong dude.

I just want to see Sutter break up that first line again . Brown just doesn't play well on that line. Has not all year.

Dude, I usually agree with you on most things but definitely not this. Simon Gagné was done, he wasn't playing well at all and he didn't even play that well in Philadelphia either. I've been saying that they should move Toffoli up and give him a chance for quite some time now, whether the guy is inexperienced or not, he's a better option than Dwight King or Kyle Clifford. Only reason I'm not mentioning Brad Richardson is because he's very fast and we need speed in this series. Toffoli is slow but the guy would be perfect on the Richards-Carter line. Do you guys not remember the goal Toffoli scored in Chicago during the regular season? Tied the game up for us or gave us the lead, I don't really remember but the guy has to play, imo.

Its the hands of stone that make him an easy target. He's very good along the boards but that's all he can do. All his scoring chances are horrible and he looks like he knows it with how hesitant he is to shoot. He will always look for the pass and when he does shoots its directly at the goalie or from a horrible angle. He's like a worse version of Frolov who got chased out of town. Its probably good he messed up handling Voyonv's breakaway pass so we didn't have to see his pitiful break away attempt.

The Kings poor breakout passing is just handcuffing the forwards. There is just no speed out of our end, Making it difficult to create premium scoring chances. Somehow Sutter needs to find a way to fix this.
