That it is probably the best way to explain it. Enjoy it. The Pacific Division is hot garbage and the fact that it was allowed a team in the top 4 is a gift from the NHL.
I don’t know flames were mostly considered a top 2-3 in the west by everyone on here until the oilers beat them. Then they morphed into hot garbage in the brilliant eyes of HF.

Or you could just say both were two goal losses.
On goals on goalies 2 of the games were decided by a goal.

Anyways, hope Naz is okay, he's been a force this year. Hate to see that kind of injury especially in the playoffs.

Twas a GG tonight, Avs played a really solid road game, easy to see how they are undefeated on the road.

Smith and Bouchard on the 3rd Avs goal, woof... that was back breaking.

Avs Top 4 D are absolute studs, Oilers can't get anything going against them. Its especially apparent after watching the McDavid, Drai, Kane, and Hymen walk all over LA and Flames D, Avs have something special. The scary part is Avs have cap space and some crucial cost-control years ahead of them to keep this whole squad together. They're going to be a very tough team for the conference for years to come.

MVP of this game was Draisaitl.

Helped Avs score. the 3rd goal after his dive and then a beautiful pass to Rantanen for the empty netter
Stupid post considering he’s injured. But go ahead and attack someone who’s clearly laboring if that makes you feel like more of a man.

Colorado is just such a bunch of weasels. Wish it were St Louis going forward. Never were there such a committed group of little Bs than Colorado, let's be honest.

And how you can go 5 consecutive seasons 1st in power plays in a game that has as many variables as hockey without any journalists asking questions about it is mind boggling. Probably one of the reasons hockey journalism is a joke.
Sounds legit

Don't be a baby dude. Oiler fans don't always need to act like you're always getting picked on. It's plain to see McDavid is the best player in the world but it's not enough in the playoffs. He's doing everything he can but it takes more than his and Draisaitl's efforts to make it happen. Did you see how pissed he looked on the bench, throwing his arms up wondering WTF happened and why couldn't his team have a clean breakout with the extra skater??

The Oilers are not a talented or deep team and outside of Mcdavid and Draisaitl and therefore not a "good team". That's all people are saying. I sucks to watch, i get it dude, but i'd bet most hockey fans outside of Calgary would love to see Mcdavid win a Cup.
From my perspective this is not a good look his body language says well I've done all I can. Doesn't inspire team unity. Maybe I'm way off but that's how it plays out to me.

Oilers had tons of chances tonight. There were stretches they badly outplayed the Avs. If the bounces go the other way oilers could have easily won this game. Enough with the ridiculous exaggerations here.
No there weren’t, and if if if…you could say that about any game

It's almost like there's a correlation between possession and power plays...

He's been unreal on the defensive end. Didn't realize what a two way guy he was.
He's always been underrated defensively. But hes also very good if he plays center. He's doing whatever it takes to help his team grind out wins. Would take him over any Oiler in the playoffs.

It's ok to vent, get it out. I can understand why it's hard to see out of your homer glasses with guys like Kassian, Kane, Nurse, and Drai on your team.

Who isn't injured at this point of the season? If he's that injured, why is he out there killing penalties and not resting for even strength?

You know final scores are, you know, actual goals?

The Oilers lost two games by two goals, and one by four. Honest. I’m not making it up.

But keep your moral victories.
