WCF: Edmonton Oilers vs. Colorado Avalanche ( Avs lead 3-0 )

Well on paper Colorado seems like the clear choice as the victor. Still, Edmonton has played very well these playoffs thus far. If the big guns on the oilers stay hot like they are now, they can beat any team under the right circumstances. Smith has played fair enough as well but that porous defense is the big concern against a potent offense like the Avs.

People predicting the Avs with the sweep are in for surprise in this one, or just trolling. Still gonna take Colorado in 6 however, but should be a competitive series to the end imo. I did favor Calgary to take out Edmonton however, and the forwards for the Oil exposed the Flames D as a comparable for shit coming out of a sloths a-hole.

All in all it should be entertaining and I'll be tuning in for sure.

MacKinnon is not even the Avs best player and McJesus is clearly superior no matter what happens in this series

Av's got past their hump and it's sort of a HUGE deal for Kuemper who had to carry big part of the weight. Obviously Av's will carry the favorite pressure against all teams apart of Tampa, but it makes a huge difference that Kuemper doesn't have to carry all of the pressure of getting Leafed on his shoulders.

Only thing the Av's are really missing is an elite shutdown line that would be really useful in this matchup, but I feel like goalie issue already solved itself when they got past the hump and their depth will carry this.

Colorado definitely has the better team and especially their Dcore is far superior. However, Kuemper has to step up .904 sv% behind one of the leagues best defensive teams that has controlled most games so far is awful.

Obviously it's really good overall (especially since they don't have elite 2-way forwards), but they were 9th in goals against, so I'm not sold on their defense as defensively close to the best. With the defense producing in the way they do, it's not a problem in any way, but making a point about their goals against not being that close to the real defensive powerhouses like the Canes.

Dream matchup with Mc vs Mac. Colorado definitely the on-paper favourites, but I think the Oilers actually match up fairly well.

If one of Kuemper or Smith get hot, that could be the difference. Neither goalie playing particularly lights out atm.
