Edmonton
55min of pure shutdown hockey in game 7 isn't enough to qualify as good game?
Why engage him? Oilers were clearly the better team 6/7 games.

He also has point totals inflated by who he plays with, Bouchard playing on Edmonton wouldn’t be Bouchard playing on other teams. He plays more like an average to above average 2nd pairing guy
Bro he has 1 less point then Mcdavid a d 3 less than Drai. Their points are inflated by him too.

I think McDavid has more to give this playoffs, Oilers will need that if they are to get past Dallas. Which if you are an Oilers fan gives hope.

Skinner has also got to be a tad better this series. Dallas is a very tough opponent though. Should be a great series.
Skinner needs to be more than a tad better. This is a healthy Dallas team they are going up against

I mean... missing our #6 who seems to have been replaced again, this time by Petrovic, isn't 'missing a couple pieces there'.
They’ve remained healthy and had a long rest between series, any minor injuries are likely good now. Outside of Hakanpaa

The Oilers could play both Skinner and Pickard in net at the same time and Dallas still have an advantage in net. 😁
To be fair , Ottinger let in a couple vintage Skinner looking goals in one of those last games vs the Avs. What was that about

The reason it went to 7 was because Silovs was as excellent as he was. That’s why it’s odd to bring up an injured Demko.
Thats not true. Silovs was commended for doing his job as a 1st year AHL guy. Demko can literally steal games on his own.

That series is long over and this one is about to begin, no reason to reply to terrible takes and clog this thread up

Correct. They also lead the playoffs in goals against at 5 on 5 with 26. Doesn't that point to what we already know? They are an offensive driven team led by a handful of players?
That Skinner has struggled? Yes we all know that

games are 60 minutes and Nucks were missing their best scorer. That last 5 minutes was the true oilers. Dallas will mop the floor with the Oilers

There is struggling and then there is Skinner .881 save percentage in the playoffs--

Edmonton fared better against the Cup champion Vegas last year and actually had a chance to win that series last year, 2-2 series, had the lead in both game 5 and 6 in the 2nd period. Whereas Dallas got thumped 3-0 to start the series, won a couple of games when Vegas let off the gas and then got destroyed 6-0 in game 6. Marchessault said it himself, the Oilers were the hardest comp they had in the SC playoffs last year.

The year prior to that, Edmonton beat the team that eliminated Dallas (Calgary).

So I don't think this is as cut and dry as some want to make it.

My guess is Oilers destroy oettinger bad , they will just break every good goalie they face but the backups backup is hard for them
