If anyone is interested in making the trip out from Chicago (or wherever), I've got great seats in the lower bowl behind the net the Hawks shoot twice at for every game. If you strike out on the retail sale, PM me and we can work something out and avoid the crazy re-sale site service fees and whatnot.

The Wild became a terrible team because the Hawks swept them... OK...

We'll make the Ducks a bad team by beating them in 6 then.

For those thinking the defense can be easily exploited due to what they saw in previous series for the Ducks let me tell you that I saw some wide open men the Wild had in the slot vs us that Getzlaf and Perry would see. I'm not disagreeing with what was said, just a random thought based on that.

And now the Ducks meet a cup caliber team with all the credentials. Not buying their hype. This Hawks team is on a mission to get one more for the core.

Someone should print up "One More For The Core" t-shirts.

You know damn well they're aware changes are coming because of cap constraints. Nothing like playing for each other knowing this is the last run for some guys on this team. Let's go win another cup imo.

Ducks in RS...236 GF & 226 GA?......that's only a + 10 differential.

I know RS means nothing but man holy crap i thought their spread would be much better with that record.

No way this team is that good!

edit: Did they make any moves before the deadline?

Flieschman, Sekac who haven't been playing and Simon Despres so nothing really

Hawks in 6.

Ducks have played two poor teams, and while only losing a combined 1 game, they have trailed a lot of times. If they do that against the Hawks, they won't find it as easy to come back.

I wanted to put Hawks in 5, but I figured we will play poorly and they will make us pay for it.

C'mon Hawks!

I completely forgot the Ducks had Wiz

Wow ,, 7 NHL defenders deep vs Hawks 4

Hawks have 4 olympian defenders on the backend. As long as the usual posters remain pessimistic then I like our chances in this series. Remember back when Kane went down you said the season was over? Show some faith in this core. If CC is on his game, Hawks will get their goals on Andersen or whoever the hell is their goaltender.

Ducks have 6 NHL quality defenders

Fowler
Lindholm
Beauchemin
Vatanen
Stoner
Despres

4 damn good young one's and overall a nice group

Ducks D at worst = Hawks 4 man unit

Overall probably slightly > then Hawks because 6 NHL defenders is a lot more valuable in playoffs then 4 NHL defenders at this point

Hawks may have the best defender in series (Keith) and a more elite top 4 ,, But the lack of a 3rd pairing while Ducks can roll 3 pairings is an issue

The Hawks have 3 defenseman that are better than the Ducks best defenseman. Calling Clayton Stoner a NHL defender is hilarious. Plus benches shorten in the playoffs. If you're playing you're third paring 18 minutes a game, its because your defense isn't very good.

As for the D being "even" did you guys watch how open the Calgary/Winnipeg series' were?

Right, and its not just their defenseman, its their system and forwards. Calgary was slicing through their defense but didn't have the talent to score.

The Coyotes with a ****** roster back in 2012 beat the Blackhawks in 6 but not before the Coyotes gained a 3-1 series lead on them. The Ducks will have a much easier time on the Blackhawks as any of Chicago's success hinges on any help they get from any of the former Coyotes joining then. Rosival is down and Vermette I doubt will do anything seeing he was crap for us back in the 2012 WCF vs the Kings.

Go Ducks!

One thing certain in defending against the Ducks.... and it is worrisome: Hawk dmen can't let Perry live in the blue paint. He destroyed Flames all by himself doing exactly that.

I think Perry will find it a bit harder to be there when he is going up against Hammer-Oduya and the Saad-Toews-Hossa line.

I could be wrong though.

If there is a line I'm confident shutting that Ducks 1st line, it's the top 2-way line in hockey.
