GDT: WC QF Sweden vs Canada

Canada deserves to score a goal, but today is Ullmark's day. Sweden must not be so passive in the offensive zone, they lost too many pucks in the corner in an effort to keep the puck and thus employ opponents far from Ullmark. This game makes sense if you have experienced players who are well versed in a small space and can close the guardrail. But this is not an example today, so Canada will usually win these fights and then speed up the transition to the zone. Sweden must return to an active game of defenders, the OEL should dominate here, it is an experienced player, it can evaluate the situation well and calm down the game. Also, Dahlin could more often bring the puck out of the zone and wait for support, the 3-0 situation pushes Canada to the wall, they have to open the game and the Swedes can wait for a mistake and make a final decision.
 
They probably don't show it on TV broadcasts (I assume most of you watch those) but for those watching YT stream with the view from the dressing room/corridors, Sweden does indeed look like a team that's having fun together.
 
It should honestly be a 5 on 3 from that sequence. The kneeing and the hooking on the shot. It might've been thigh on thigh though, so ok but it looked like a dangerous play.
 
Well, I'm impressed by the Swedish team, they did exactly what they needed to do after 3-1, they started pushing momentum again. They haven't scored but they've killed off alot of time and given Ullmark some rest.
 
Canada taking dumb penalties... As a team they look horrendous.

Ullmark been really good and don´t forget Wallmark missed an open net before. Could have been 4-1 just as well.
I actually thought Germany was the worst team in the quarters before the game, but i guess i´ve changed my mind to Canada after witnessing this. They are not even close.

Sweden outclassed Canada.

More like a power kill. They just killed 2 minutes of the clock. That's still not a commendable attribute to describe the performance.

I have no Nylander why they've moved Nylander to the left spot when he has poured in goals on the PP from the right.
 
Difficult to believe that Barzal and Dubois are considered to be good players. They´ve been sh*t in this tournament.
I mean players like Nylander, Dahlin, Pastrnak etc have been able to produce something at least. Armias goal against Czechia was a beauty as well.

Claude Julien... I believe this is the last time you have a job as a coach for a big organization or nation. This is nothing but underwhelming.
I mean Canada is playing just as bad as Sweden is playing good in my opinion. Czechia would beat this Canada with ease as well.

Yes, team defence have been good. Canada is having all the puck, but we are keeping them to the outside and the Ullmark stepping up when they fail. Then we have the occasional rush chance

Barzal has star potential no doubt, he just needs to fix his head. Dubois, on the other hand, is just an entitled 2nd line guy who got pampered even more by the team desperate to squeeze something more out of him.
