GDT: WC QF Sweden vs Canada

Confirmation bias, don't you think there's a batallion of Finns wanting Sweden to lose? When Sweden is out alot of Swedes root for Finland.
I don't see that batallion anywhere.

Maybe me when I'm on a bad mood I may be a shitty poster but same can be said about a dozen on swedes.

Of course, who else could have done the first foul ... in the corner of the offensive zone.

Obviously they want, but also they don't storm to Swedish threads while you celebrate to say how bad you are and you didn't deserve it.

Sweden dominating Canada . Why are Canada so bad ?

After their loss to Switzerland they started to switch lines and goalies. Today's started is Driedger who didn't play much in the preliminary round. The line rotation hasn't worked out well although they beat France by a clear margin.

Canada totally driving play in period 2, but Ullmark is looking so solid. I also think the defence is playing well, Canada are not getting those really good chances, more shots from the outside.

OEL helps so much in shoring up the defence corps

Canada has been all over the ice this period, but great goalie for Sweden and lack of killer instinct from Canadian given how many shot they had.

Garpenlöv is trying to play some Finnish style defensive hockey to protect the lead early and I don’t like it. At least the organisation is alright and the determination to block shots and work hard is there. But the lack of risk and offensive emphasis is not what I like to see.

PP very bad again, relies heavily on individual skill from typically Nylander to create anything. No structure. Excellent PK though so far.

Really nice play by Dahlin and Ullmark when Nyllet lost the puck.

Sweden really trying the Finnish hedgehog here and I guess we have the goalie, the D-men and defensive forwards for it. Canada mostly only fired contested shots or perimeter shots. Ullmark had to make a couple of really good saves though.

Still, being this pressured in your own zone is tiring. Not that fun to watch for neutral fans either.
