Both pretty shaky, but considering that their defenses are even shakier I'd say that's pretty normal.

swedish defense has been very shaky. Hasn't helped Lundqvist at all.

They always put the game winner at the latest scorer during the game...

Finland seems to be shooting more now, any quality shots?

BTW... Does anyone else miss "Raivo" Summanen?

I sure do :(

My friends and I have been discussing this and I've been saying bring back Summanen. I liked his system and Finland needs a tough coach like him.

I think we could do without Koivu and Niinimaa...

But if say Lehtinen or S.Kapanen declines to play under Summanen... It would be better to keep whoever lameass we've got (Erkka)

Edit... And I still don't know why Finland does this in every tournament.... doesn't trust either of the guys in net... just goes back and forth even if they have a good game... A goalie playing under that can't win us games.

Yeah, but thats what happens when you're just standing there, passive like the Swedes did. At least the Finns tried to skate a bit in the first..

Yep, Finland has to straighten out this starting goalie thing more. Remember last year? I still can't forgive Noronen for some of the goals he took in. I think the lack of confidence in a starting goalie has been one of Finland's weaknesses.

Close first period. I think Sweden has an upper hand, but hopefully A.J. Niemi has his wrist ready for the 2nd period.

Ref is looking really bad :( Instead Jarkko Ruutu is looking good ;) Doing his stuff.

We need Ruutu to shake them up... Only Axelsson and Norström are in his weightclass, and I am hoping Timonen delivers another present for "Pebben" ;) to revive old memories.

Go Jakke! :yo: Amazingly, he hasn't taken any penalties yet in this tournament. Has there been any action between him and Hedström yet? ;)

Yes he has been having some arguments with Hedström,Zetterberg and Norström already...now he got his first penalty wich he shouldn't have got because he did nothing.

That should fire him up even more  but that's not always good. I guess I spoke a second to early about Ruutu not getting a penalty yet. Damn, I jinxed it.

Jakke always plays his best game when he has gotten a penalty... look for him to fly out of the box...

HEDSTRÖM goal! pass by Weinhandl

it is meant that Zetterberg is gonna be Playmaker, Weinhandl Scorer and Hedström the Grinder. They all changed roles for a second :p:

Thats true, he checked Norström into the boards so that he lost his breath right after coming out of the box. Then he almost scored.

Hopefully he keeps it up >_< Finland needs imo at least one goal in the second period to have a chance in this game...

I am hoping the Teletappi-line wakes up... Maybe Jussi should get a taste of that line?

I guess he gets more fired up while he's in the penalty box. The Evil Mosquito flies out of the net with a vengence. ;)

Damn Sweden is good :(

Finland has only one decent line. Our 2nd Hentunen-Kapanen-Pärssinen. Instead our lovely neighbour has 4 very skilled lines.

I hate that Hedström made that goal.... I hate that guy as much as some hate Jarkko Ruutu. And also I would very much like that Bäckström would start at next game. That fourth goal was a bad play by Norrena.

Luckily this wasn't "important" game.

Every game against sweden is an important game >_<

And IMO... Stick with Norrena so that he can build confidence... Or else there will be just back and forth all the time...
