That 6-5 "game" is an urban myth which never happened in reality, the rumor was started by swedish media and somehow people started believing in it... :teach:

Yeah, just like the bronze game in Gothenburg 2002 when Sweden turned 1-3 around to 5-3. Just a myth.. :D

Right. Now you're getting it. You should be happy about that you finally learned it.

Now back to business. Team Sweden seems to have their game in better shape. It will be a difficult game for Team Finland but I'll bet it can be a difficult game for Team Sweden too. These games have always had an extra spark for both teams and both teams has a player that can (and most likely will) heat up tonight. I'm of course talking about Ruutu and Hedström. However, imo Hedström will heat up easier and thus giving Team Finland PP time from to score the goals needed to win.

My prediction. 3-1 for Team Finland.

Finland is the big favorites in this game. Its a must win for them, I don't think Sweden have anyhting to play for. They have 22+ players out with injurys.(Can a Swedish "B-team" compete with the finns???) Of course I still have some hope that Sweden will have a tiny chance in this game but you know what they say, hope is the last thing that dies... :(

You're funny guy. :biglaugh:

Sweden is the favorite in this game simply because they have played better in this tournament. Finland and Sweden both have much to play in every game they play against each other.

We all have such high expectations, so I'm guessing this will be a pretty boring game with two good goalies and a final score that says 0-0. Since I never seem to predict the right result it will probably be the other way around... ;)

Well actually its a Swedish "B/C-team", but finns are also lining up with a "B-team". On paper this looks like two very equal teams.

Well, maybe on paper its' b/c but not in reality. Out of those 22 players that are out maybe 5 of them would bring something to the team. Remember that lidström never is great in national team and so on. Two most missed are Peter Forsberg and Mats Sundin, others wouldn't make so big difference imho. We have a good team if we keep things together and sedins can get some speed under their skates and keep the plays a a bit simpler. Also remember that in the form Lundqvist is in he can single handed turn a game around even though Sweden is not the better team.

Sweden has been playing well so far, better than Finland. Our offense has not been productive enough. I predict a 5-3 win for Sweden.

The best game of World Cup 2004 was the Finn-Swede tie. That was incredible!

Same this time around. Prediction: 2-2

That, and the Czech-Canada semifinal!

Most intense Finland - Sweden game was Nagano quarterfinals, I think I soiled myself about 10 times during the game.

Yea, that was a true classic. BTW is it possible to get the Nagano 1998 games on DVD somewhere?
