Jiricek probably should have stepped up to the on rushing forward for the third goal and forced him wide but man that’s a goal that you just can’t let in. Basically a fluttering shot. I think this group will be much more interesting than initially anticipated. Austria is not to be overlooked

Yeah, that was at no fault on any of the Czech players, how do you defend against an air lob that is shot within such short amount of time? The pass was amazing and the finish was clinical.

I have no idea why the Czech team has such a big problem winning against Sweden. I mean, sometimes Sweden has had some really strong teams and won it all, but it should be closer than it has been. It's like Sweden's way of playing is Czech hockey cryptonite. It has been the same for us against the US, basically always winning against them in the playoffs and such.

Two PP goals and a beauty pass from Gustafsson. A lob pass over 1½ zones basically right on the blade of Asplund.

This chaotic display repeats itself every year, regardless of changes in personnel: nervous start and a few decent shifts by key players, followed by the team fully disintegrating shortly after. I'm starting to doubt whether the Czechs are even capable of playing full 60min of concentrated and disciplined hockey - is it a mentality thing? This effort is inexcusable when you look at the great performances of generally weaker opponents.
