Isles prediction: Kyle Maclean scores 15-20 goals as a 4th line center and puts himself on the radar as an up and coming young player despite his dad being his coach. Matt Martin and Cal Clutterbuck both sign PTOs after Lou finds a trade partner for both JGP and Oliver Wahlstrom. Both veterans announce retirement post season and Matt gets to play his 1000 game as a New York Islander, scoring the GWG vs the Rangers in front of his father in law. He then gives that puck to Boomer.

Non-Islanders predictions: Toronto has a trade lined up with a bottom tier team (Anaheim with Zegras as the main piece returning) involving Mitch Marner. Marner says no to a trade and walks as a UFA to one of those “tax benefit teams”. Leafs fans start a revolt in regards throwing out his jersey and a few burn it in front of Scotiabank Arena in protest.

McDavid decides to turn into enforcer/goon after joining Rempke/Laraque for some off-season training.

Mcdavid throws a Kasparitis style hit on someone the 2nd time they play the Rangers (Lafreneire, Trochek or Mika is my guess) after Rempe throws one of those “too big to keep his arm down” hits to the head of Dylan Holloway causing him to be taken off on a stretcher. Chityl immediately leaves the game after this play with post concussion syndrome, only to return the next game perfectly fine. McDavid gets no penalty as a result of the hit.

I can see Jack Hughes having a monster year and getting serious Hart support if the Devils return to the playoffs.

I won't be shocked if DET takes a playoff spot from BOS. I think OTT, BUF and MTL will have to wait longer to return to the playoffs.
