I watched the first two seasons of HoC but season 3 just completely lost me. The dragging out of the chase of the hooker and the aide after her was garbage.

The new House of Cards season is pretty great. I thought it took a bit of a dip in season 3, but it's been redeemed with this one.

So far so good, I think I'm at episode 5 or 6 of the new season. One of the twists came out of nowhere, I sat there with my mouth open. Great writing.

The show is still ridiculous, but it's back to being the fun kind of ridiculous that was missing in season 3.

I started season 3 of House of Cards last summer, got about six episodes in, and lost interest because it felt like a letdown. A week or so ago, we started over on season 3 so we can get on to season 4. I like it well enough, but probably because the first two seasons are far enough out of mind that I'm not constantly holding this one up to the others.

One question, is it the kind of series where you have to watch it from the beginning or can I just jump in from the first Moffat episode? Alien and Aliens are total classics. While Alien 3 is not that great, the documentary about the making of the movie is great. Turns out that building massive sets and starting to film before the screenplay is done isn't that great of an idea. Everything past that (Resurrection, Vs. Predator,etc...) is hot garbage.

I am gradually making my way through Game of Thrones. A few years ago I watched the first episode and it just didn't get me interested. Then this past January when I was stuck in jury duty I started reading the first book and got completely hooked. I'm in the middle of the 5th book now and in season 2 on the show. Can't get enough.

While the constant ups and downs of every episode get a little annoying, Silicon Valley still slays me.
