Finally gave Last Man on Earth a shot... meh. Will Forte is insufferable for 90% of the season. Kristen Schaal was surprisingly funny.

Ok, so who all watched Making a Murderer? I was yelling at my tv throughout the whole thing.

I just finished it up last night. I can't say 100% that Avery was guilty or not, but what those detectives did to Brendan Dassey is very sad. I feel for that kid.

And who else wanted to punch Katz in the face everytime he was on. That dude irritated me to no end.

I think Avery did it, but I also think Manitowoc is corrupt and planted evidence in a feeble attempt to buttress the case against him. I had written a long post about why I think both accusations are true, then the computer crashed and lost it all. At any rate, I hadn't written anything you can't learn for yourself with a Google search, but that's the only explanation that makes sense based on what (we think) we know.

And it was very gratifying to learn of Kratz's defenestration. He made my skin crawl from the get-go, but he really lost me at the press conference where he gave all the gory details. He was getting way, way too much enjoyment out of that.

I actually think he's completely innocent, but regardless, he is absolutely not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. When Barb's husband took the stand, I turned to my wife and said "that mother ****er did it". So call it confirmation bias if you will, but this theory seems damn near spot on http://www.zimbio.com/Beyond+the+Tube/articles/k59WEAE-XDv/Genius+Making+Murderer+Fan+Theory+Ties+Up

And regarding Brendan, I think the silver lining in it all is that prison is probably the best thing to have happened to him. He got an education in there that I doubt he would have ever received in his real world. I hope now he gets out and can apply it.

When Bobby took the stand I thought he had something to do with it. And the same thought when Scott took the stand. So this side makes complete sense to me. Also, what didn't make sense is the phone records that Avery took calls from Jodi during the time he was supposedly killing Halbach.

The X Files. The first few episodes were kinda cheesy but I just watched my favorite episode so far with Luther Lee Boggs, the psychic on death row. Man oh man was the acting perfect for him. He got the crazy out perfectly with a balance that made it almost believable which enhanced the tension of the episode. Having it be set in Raleigh was also interesting. Definitely got some chills during the episode and I'm hoping there are a few more episodes as grounded as this one was.

Started watching Happy Valley this evening. Pretty amazing that Jordan Staal has time to play for the Hurricanes and star in a British television show.
