Re: Poplar the metro runs right under that area. Would think they would need to relocate that park police facility. Could imagine they could use the north river side area for the mixed retail along that side create good waterfront side.

Sure you can do some things right and not win a championship but not everything is the same level of importance or has the same purpose.

Pining for a massive, "state of the art" building for training purposes suggests you're seeking a significant advantage in performance, which in the NFL is measured in wins and championships. Otherwise why do it?

Besides, have you ever seen a Rocky movie? The fancy training facilities don't do shit!

“Pining”……..when someone makes an observation lol….

Not sure why Finlay posted that, because we already know we can’t have nice things and that this ship was run cheaply and poorly.

In other news that may be the most shocking thing the Commanders have done all year, apparently they didn't break the rules in tampering with Andrew Luck. I did not expect that :D

I know it’s voluntary but this isn’t a great look for Young given he’s done nothing outside of his rookie year.

Agreed. Not sure if this is his FU response to them not picking up his 5th year option or not but it certainly validates their decision IMO.

I'd wanted to summarize parts of this ($$), but probably won't have a chance. Bottom line, the Harris bid toes some lines on ownership rules, and this could take awhile. Partner count and foreign partners mainly.

I think this sentiment is overall the most concerning:

“What precedent will this set?” asked a worried senior official of an NFL team. And if Harris is patching together the deal, it raises concern about the ability to build a new stadium, fund the team and create a world-class organization, this official said.
Also not a huge fan of:

He also has proposed a lease back on the team’s Ashburn, Va., practice facility. So he would sell the property, use the proceeds for the team purchase and lease the space.

RR isn’t pissing off anyone decent on this team heading into next season. He’s either coaching for his next gig, an extension, or maybe just his last season of his career. He needs these guys to buy in.
