I`ve a notion that Nash goals will soon come - he do so many things right and hit the post too. And pls. no long term injury on Kreider, cross fingers. And hopefully he is back on friday!

Why?

Penalties are designated for standard play.
The guy isn’t supposed to play for two mins or until there’s a goal against. He and his team are penalized. He should sit. Admittedly there’s some grey here but it seems right to me.

Yeah. He was brain dead a lot. But his two hits on Ovi exonerate him.
Regardless of those hits......JT had a horrible game. Many chances for good shots on goal......takes it behind the net. His thinking is slow......I'm a BIG JT fan, but he is stinking it up lately.

Standard play, overtime etc. All hogwash. If there is going to be an overtime, then it should be FINISHED with even strength. Been saying this for years now.

But it doesn't.

Not saying I'm a huge shootout fan, but since it exists, I disagree with the penalty carryover since it's not standard play.

Also, as Soccer [Fútbol] is played all over the world up until recently less here, the SO is pretty much a part of every other competitive league in the world as well as a staple of the Olympics.

Anyway, these are the rules, and we earned the points as much as anyone else, and as much as the Capitals didn't.

Furthermore , f*** the Crapitals!

It's not grey. It's not standard play.

For example player related, a Goalie is not deemed a "skater"; therefore, he can close his hand on the puck in specific areas whereas a skater can never close their hand on the puck. There is no grey area.

Yes, Pavelec with one of his best games in his career - a great shootout win!

Yeah but he's been on quite the roller coaster ride .
Starts off his career as center then winger then back n fourth again.
He's improved every year thus far but that AV factor keeps limiting his potential IMO..

Nah. I think the penalized team should pay with that skater if they can’t do the full two mins. Just my opinion. And how about a five minute penalty? Game misconduct? Those guys can come back too? Again, smarter people than I am have obviously sided with you here. But I disagree still. Can’t complete the penalty, no shootout. Maybe they’ll think twice as times running down.
