I don't know about you, but I enjoyed this defensive gem rather than see another chaotic track meet. They played a defensive clinic in the third. The Caps got nothing except maybe that Oshie shot late. Smith and Shatty were great. McD and Holden were also good. Skjei and Staal solid. What are the chances all six D played well? The pairings were great.

What happened to the rule where you can't shoot in the shootout if you have a penalty through the end of OT?

This needs to be a new rule......extend the OT if that happens. A team literally has NOTHING to lose to take an obvious penalty on a breakaway in the closing seconds. Just expand that notion a little.

I wouldn't mind that tweak to the rule, if a penalty occurs with under 2 mins left in OT the team gets a full 2 min PP.

Zucc absolutely clowned Grubauer. Just minimal effort and he had Grubby groping around like Turco vs. Datsyuk.
