Looks what happened at the start of the second when the Rangers actually started skating hard. Caps were a bit flustered and started taking dumb penalties.

Then the collapsing resumed.

The Rangers can be terrifying for the other team when they play hard and forecheck strong, if they collapse and do prevent D, it's our Kryptonite

All I ask, is not to take penalties this period, this is the biggest 20:00 of our season! Play hard, play smart. We can do this. Huge difference between 2-1, and 3-0. LGR

What really grinds my gears is the lack of that "next gear" from our top guys you'd expect in these situations. Callahan, Stepan, Richards, Nash have showed No passion that so many other teams top players show in the playoffs. I have to believe deep inside they are discouraged and dishearten by the lack of a pro offensive system by these excuse of a coach. They've seen it fail all season long, why should it magically click now?

Based on how they play, this is the average Ranger fan aged 12:

Coaches adjust to the talent on their roster. The roster just isn't that good offensively. I think if Tortorella thought he could play the Tampa Bay system with this team, he would.

Still doesn't explain why he had the forwards down below the dots in the D zone when you have an elite goalie...coaches talk about making the other team go 200 ft to play offense...Torts does it to his own team.

Why not reunite the Hags/Stepan/Cally line. Let Brassard center Nash. Shake it up. I like the way Brassard is playing.

Side note: did we double shift Pyatt towards the end of the 2nd?

With all the Caps PK time, Ovi should be really fresh...predicting he scores 2 in the 3rd.

I wonder if Nash has been hurt? I can't imagine why else he'd look this bad and not get called out and ripped on by Torts.

This franchise better be serious about trading Del Zotto, Girardi, and Callahan. We would definitely get a nice package.

Yes.

I don't even irrationally hate Pyatt like everyone else here does...but that is ridiculous.

I doubt it. THE Jackets fans were complaining the same exact things about him. He'll float for couple of games and dominate for 1 game.

No stop it with trading G and Callahan. DZ I'm starting to get on board with because he isn't consistent and mises the net too much.

LOL Machine! You know which one was my all-time favorite?

How does Mitchell sound on PP1? No?

How about PP 2? With that Torts face lol.
